Save time watering and travel if you need to!
I used this for 1 season, and it worked great. But then the valve broke, and I contacted support and they shipped another one for me! We got this because we knew we were going to be gone for a summer and wanted this to help us out. It took less than 5 minutes to set up. We had this connected to a hose system that watered plants 2x a day for a couple of minutes, and it made gardening so much easier. We did not have to worry about being gone and asking around for people to water our plants. Hands down one of the best gardening purchases we have made, and it works! The application has improved significantly and once you set schedules you can easily forget about it!

Excellent Product, Better Customer Service
I have owned three Rainpoint units, one for the front and left side of the house and one for the right side and general use. Setting up is easy, programming is fast, and water can be modified or delayed in case of rain, or for manual use. The first unit I owned broke within a year. I ordered a replacement and contacted Rainpoint customer service about the failed unit. They were fast to respond, sent me a completely new unit, including a new hub socket. They followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the resolution to my issue.

Great products and extraordinary customer service
First of all, the product is great, easy to use, easy to control by app, fully automated, set and forget. Now about customer service - extraordinary! My unit did fail - not faulting them, it happens. I called for service but forgot to get the unit so I could work with them so hung up before connecting with anyone. THEY CALLED ME BACK! I didn't even leave a message. WOW. The rep was very patient as we walked through all tests, but they concluded I needed a replacement. I received it within a few days and it's working perfectly. GREAT COMPANY!

Multi stage programming
I am happy with my purchase of this two zone water timer. I really like the ability to water the landscape flowers on a different schedule than my vegetable garden. I have them set for separate day and different amounts. You can chose by volume of water or by elapsed time.

Excellent customer service
Bought it near end of season and did not use it so it was nearly a year before connecting it. Turned out to be defective, kept giving a leak error but nothing was leaking. Company sent a replacement received in less than a week. Excellent customer service, seem to take pride in their product.WiFi connection was quick. So far so good.

RainPoint timer Google Home and Alexa Instructions
RainPoint timer Google Home and Alexa Instructions6/29/2024 - Yes, you can have Google Home and Alexa water your yard with a timer. It will turn off the water in the timed minutes that you set by using "Routines" in the Alexa App or "Automations" in the Google Home App. If you follow the directions in the RainPoint manual for "How to get third-party control / voice control?" then it just shows you more instructions that are vague and inaccurate. Here are better directions. But keep in mind that it may be slightly different because apps update often and change how things are worded and where they are located.RAINPOINT APP SETUP:1. The app I used in the app store was called "RainPoint-Tuya". It makes you create an account. It sends a registration verification to your email address from @ismartlife.me. So you basically end up having a Smart Life account. After you follow the instructions in the manual to set up your Wifi Hub and Smart Water Timer then follow the rest of these directions for Alexa or Google Home below:ALEXA SETUP:1. Start Alexa App.2. Tap on + in the upper right corner.3. Tap on "Device" > "Switch" > "Smart Life".4. It will go to the website and have you login to the account using the email address and password that you created with the RainPoint app.5. Once you select your water timer, then it should create two devices. One device for the left valve and one for the right valve. You can rename the valves by tapping "Devices" at the bottom of the app then tap on the device and then click on the gear icon. I will call these devices "Left valve" and "Right valve".6. Now you can turn on/off the water by saying, "Alexa, turn on left valve" or "Alexa, turn off left valve".ALEXA ROUTINES:1. Start Alexa App.2. Tap on "More" at the bottom.3. Tap on "Routines" > "+".4. Tap on "Add an event" > "Voice". Type in a phrase like: "Water the yard".5. Tap on "Add an action" > "Alexa Says" > "Customized". Type in: "Ok. Watering." Tap "Next".6. Tap on "Add another action" > "Smart Home" > "Switches". Tap on the valve of your choice. Tap on "switched". Select "On". Tap "Next".7. Tap on "Add another action" > "Wait". Set the minutes to water. Tap on "Next".8. Tap on "Add another action" > "Smart Home" > "Switches". Tap on the valve of your choice. Tap on "switched". Select "Off". Tap "Next".9. Tap on "Add an action" > "Alexa Says" > "Customized". Type in: "Finished watering." Tap "Next".10. Tap on "Save". Now you can say, "Alexa, water the yard".GOOGLE HOME SETUP1. Start Google Home App.2. Tap on "Devices" at the bottom.3. Tap on "Add" > "Works with Google". Search for "Smart Life". Tap on the "Smart Life" with the logo of a home.4. It will go to the website and have you login to the account using the email address and password that you created with the RainPoint app.5. Once you select your water timer, then it should create two devices. One device for the left valve and one for the right valve. You can rename the valves by tapping "Devices" at the bottom of the app then tap and hold your finger on the device and then click on the gear icon. I will call these devices "Left valve" and "Right valve".6. Now you can turn on/off the water by saying, "Hey Google, turn on left valve" or "Hey Google, turn off left valve".GOOGLE HOME AUTOMATION1. Start Google Home App.2. Tap "Automations " at the bottom.3. Tap on "Add" > "Personal".4. Tap "Add Starter" > "When I say to Google Assistant". Type in a phrase like: "Water the yard". Tap on "Done". Tap on "Add Starter" at the bottom.5. Tap on "Add Action" > "Communicate and announce" > "Make an Announcement". Type in "Ok. Watering." Tap "Done". Tap "Done" at the bottom.6. Tap on "Add Action" > "Adjust Home Devices". Tap on the valve of your choice. Tap on "Turn on or off". Tap on "Turn on". Tap on "Add Action" at the bottom.7. Tap on "Add Action" > "Delay start". Set the minutes to water. Tap on "Done" at the bottom.8. Under "After xx min" tap on > "Add action" > "Adjust Home Devices". Tap on the valve of your choice. Tap on "Turn on or off".
