Good quality but big - all are 5/8"
I bought the 3 piece set of groove/parting tools with 10 2mm inserts. They are quite good. I had no trouble parting stainless steel which tends to be "sticky". The top title clearly says 5/8" shanks, (which I missed) but the smaller title says 1/2" and 5/8". They are all 5/8" shanks which will not fit a standard AXA 250-101 holder. Luckily I had a couple 250-101T holders which will accommodate a 5/8" shank. The internal tool has flats but will also not fit a 1/2" holder. Worked fine on a 12" lathe. You might have trouble getting them on center for a smaller lathe. And for sure the 5/8" shanks are plenty stiff.

A great Buy
Nice variety at a low cost and cut very well on my lathe. While not for production work, these tools work just fine for occasional use

These parts ARE compatible - just a pain to install
Original - The boring bar looks good. But I could not try it. The inserts that are matched with the boring bar will not fit on the boring bar. The hold-down screw is a larger diameter than the hole in the inserts. One or both will be returned. Let's see how Amazon makes right the mismatched parts shown on their web site.Revised - After a good bit of effort the insert was installed on the boring bar. I had to loosen the center screw to get the insert started, then tighten both the center screw and clamp little by little. The insert is mashed on there TIGHT now. Once installed, the boring bar/insert work great. It just needed a bit of setup. I think this a tolerance issue because I was afraid I would crack the insert installing it so tight.

Works like magic
For noob like me the inserts holding like a charm. It was my first tools and my first cut. As you can see even with 0 experience you can practice a lot and not breaking the bank or trying to figure out angle on hss blanks. I think for hobbyists it’s excellent choice. I’ll definitely buy more once those breaks.

Nice tool holder
I have the 5/8 shank with the 11 inserts and so far it's done a great job, the inserts are cutting good and leaving a nice finish, put me down for 5 stars 👍

Nicely made
My only issue ( and not a big one by any stretch) is I would like a slightly longer shank on the tool for stability when I have to extend the tool out of the qctp for access around a bull nose live center. So far, I've only chipped one insert end, & that was 100% operating error

Good for the price but some issues
As in the headline, I didn't expect brand-name quality at this price, but okay for my hobby shop. The description is misleading in two ways. The pictures seem to show inserts mounted in the holders and additional inserts in a small case. Actually the holders were empty and a single insert was supplied for each holder. Also, all the tools are "half inch" (actually 12 mm) except the trigon holder which is "five-eights" (actually 16 mm). That one didn't fit the slots in my 0XA tool holders, so I had to mill it down to 12 mm. Not useful if you don't have access to a mill.As another reviewer noted, the diamond insert didn't fit the right-hand holder. The insert hit the back of the relief without aligning with its retention screw. I was able to mill out the relief with a 1/8 inch end mill and then the insert aligned with the hole but the fit in the holder was sloppy. I think it was intended for a different radius insert.Edit: Actually the insert fit fine, I inserted it in the wrong holder. Fortunately my mod didn't affect the seating of the correct (threading) insert. I have increased my rating to four stars.
