Lego Creativity Set 10706 - Blue
Lego have recently brought out four of these small creativity sets, with each focusing on a different colour range:-Blue (this Lego set 10706) which has 78 pieces (mine also included an extra spare eye piece so had 79 pieces)Red Lego set 10707 which has 55 pieces (mine also included an extra spare eye piece so had 56 pieces)Green Lego set 10708 which has 66 pieces (again mine also included an extra spare eye piece so had 67 pieces)Yellow Lego set 10709 which has 60 pieces (mine came with an extra 4 spare small pieces so had 64 pieces)Each set comes with two small bags containing the Lego and also a small building guide which gives easy to follow building instructions for your child to make three different builds which vary in difficulty level between three different levels. The guide also gives some ideas of how to make other small builds with the set or by combining parts from the four different sets together to make multicoloured builds. Of course your child doesn't have to follow the ideas given and can build whatever their imagination conjures up too or the set can be used for add-on bricks to other sets, spares etc.The three main builds for this Blue 10706 set are:-Small House Front with Window - Difficulty Level 1 (Easy Building)Blue Whale - Difficulty Level 2 (Medium Building)Blue Train - Difficulty Level 3 (Advanced Building)Each of the main build's building instructions are easy to follow and even the level 3 build was reasonably easy to do and so I think the age guide of from 4 years old and upwards is appropriate as my son was able to complete all of the builds with just a little bit of help from me on some parts.Another thing I really like about these sets is that you can build all 3 of the main builds at the same time as Lego has ensured there are enough bricks to be able to do so without having to dismantle any to build the others.I have attached some photos showing the builds from this set, the bricks that are included in this set, the builds from all four sets and some of the mix-match creations too. I have also attached a photo showing a ten pound note alongside the box to give you an idea of the size of it.I have bought all four of the different coloured sets for my children and whilst they are small sets, I can confirm that they do represent good value for the £4.99 cost each. The Blue set 10706 has slightly more pieces included in it than the other three sets, but each of them do come with a nice selection of bricks including large and small pieces. The price point is great and although these would make good sets year round, with Easter coming up soon these could be nice alternative gifts for any Lego mad children rather than purchasing them an egg. I bought these sets for my two children as little holiday sets to take away with us on our recent break and as the boxes are small they did fit perfectly into their small toy bags.I think it may be worth mentioning that the sets do not come with any figures as they are purely intended for building creations and that they are the standard sized Lego as opposed to the larger Lego Duplo. For the price, I really cannot fault these little sets and they are great for mixing together and just letting your children build whatever their mind creates too.

Great playability from such a little set
Lovely little lego set which provides hours of playability and lots of fun for young children. Each set has several models to make via the instructions and also encourages them to make their own creations. Great value and some interesting pieces.

Great introduction to Lego
My son was introduced to Lego through this set, when he received it for his third birthday. At first he needed quite a bit of help, but he enjoyed it like a puzzle, and by the third time round, my son was able to build all the models on his own. He didn't just enjoy making them, but also enjoyed playing with them. He especially enjoyed the train!

Good
Smaller than I thought it would be. But a nice starter pack.

Not cheap for the amount of bricks but a nice little treat for my 4 year old
Another set to add to our growing collection. Not cheap for the amount of bricks but a nice little treat for my 4 year old girl

Great introduction to Lego
Both my 3 and 5 year old love this set... Mainly because of the blue train that resembles Thomas the Tank engine (to them at least) had great fun teaching them how to build these simple but fun models. Will invest in the other sets for Christmas presents.

Nice little gift, needs a rethink in the packing department!
Sweet little box, however it was a gift and arrived damaged. Had to purchase another one from somewhere else.

Great value little set
I bought this for my son as a way to top up his tub of Lego with some random pieces. Instead he found great joy in making the three simple items that instructions have been provided for - a train, mini front of a house, and a whale. The majority of the bricks are blue or white, with some not so common pieces in the mix - wheels, eyes, and a window.Definitely good value.
