Good quality
I was worried that this paper might be a bit too thin to be ideal but happily this is not the case. While it is very fine (ideal for storage) it is surprisingly strong as well. I haven’t had any trouble with tearing which often happens with bought dressmaking patterns and the grid markings make it easy to line everything up nicely. Very happy.

Amazing stuff - need to order more
This is a great piece of paper for all sorts of projects. I bought a roll to design a sewing patter. But I did not get to it. The roll was ideal for other projects - it was invaluable to make a template to organise pictures on the staircase and to arrange wall art on a wall. It is checked and it makes it very easy to make things vertical and level.

Dress Making paper.
The seller is fantastic paper is just what I had been looking for. My only fault was it was in a massive box with yards and yards of brown paper. Bins having been emptied are now half full so won’t be room soon. Reason it didn’t get a 5 star rating.

Makes Work Easy.
This roll of dressmaker's pattern paper is a generous amount and good value. The paper is squared to it's very easy to line up the grid on the pattern with the grain on the fabric. As the paper is rolled it naturally curls itself back when you unroll it. Pulling it gently over the table edge cures this without hassle. The paper is thinner than I expected. On one hand it is easier to pin to the fabric when cutting out; on the other hand, it gets dog-eared at the corners quite quickly, so I've had to recut some pattern pieces after they have been used four or five times. The paper takes a medium heat iron without damage so it's easy to press out the creases if you fold your patterns. It's a fairly-priced product and it serves my purpose. I would buy it again.

I use this for tracing sewing patterns and it's just about thin enough if you have a light surface to work on. The width is good, I've never needed to tape pieces together to fit a pattern piece on. The lines are handy for lining up the grain line, and straight edges. I would suggest getting some fairly thin felt tip pens to use on this. And the roll also lasts a fair while, and pieces traced last considerably longer than tissue paper (obviously depends on how often you're using it), plus you get to preserve your patterns entirely, which is worth the extra work.

It can be used to trace garment patterns but why the 3 stars.
I always trace my papers patterns to size and alter for my petite fit family. I was confused about the opacity of this paper due to mixed reviews in relation to the ability to trace dressmaking patterns through it. A helpful gentleman told me it was not as opaque as dot and cross paper but it wasn't tracing paper either. I have found that the paper itself is transparent enough to see pattern markings but the amount of thick black lines that make up the squares on the paper caused me problems where they collided with pattern lines underneath.. I had particular problems where the lines for different sizes are close together and in order to get the correct line I had to keep lifting up the paper to look underneath and on occasions had to move it. This meant I had to cut a length of this paper off the roll so I could lift it all the way round which in turn meant I used more paper than usual. This paper would be better for pattern tracing if there were less grid lines and they were much lighter. The weight of the paper is flimsy but heavier than most (but not all) bought garment patterns therefore adequate weight for reproducing.Would I buy it again, probably if I was desperate but I prefer the gateway tracing paper which is 60 gms so thicker and which often comes on offer at the Range, with free delivery. Like 20 meters over 1000mm wide at just over nineteen pounds.

Great value.
Excellent value. Generous mount of grafting paper, I would urge caution it is hard to see patterns through the paper but if drafting your own there is no problems there, the lines are clearly printed and even. It seems to do the necessary for a good price.
