My daughter loves this and it feels really special for her getting this toy out l. It’s very satisfying building sandcastles and is much less mess than normal sand . It’s about half a standard bricks worth of sand , a few tools and half a dozen moulds to build a castle . It’s not entirely mess free (think play dough level mess). I also expected the size of box to have a little more sand in it

Both my daughters love kinetic sand & this is ideal as it keeps it all in one place. Creates a good base for imaginative play and reduces risk of them spilling it.My girls are 7 & 9 and they will go back to this time and time again. The sand doesn’t dry up or change consistency, so while it might seem a bit expensive at full price, it really does pay for itself.Only thing I’d say is you could do with extra sand really but you can just buy a pack or too seperately if you wish.

First up, I just want to say this is soooo satisfying to play with. As a 40 year old adult I enjoyed it waaaay more than my 20 month old. He liked it and will probably grow to love it, but for now I got more out of it than him. I am pretty disappointed with the amount of sand though. The picture on the box shows about 4 times the amount. I tried to recreate the picture and it shows how little sand there really is. It’s not terribly important because the nature of the sand starts to crumble anyway, but I do think the picture is deceiving.

We purchased this kenetic sand box for our daughter who was 2 at the time, and she’s always loved playing with it. We recently had a play date with another friend who has a 4 year old that absolutely loved it when she was round so we got her a box for Xmas.When we initially got our first box, we was a bit worried as we did see a lot of comments saying not enough sand inside the box, our thought was if there was not enough sand, we would buy extra sand to top up the sandbox, but it’s a good amount of sand for 2 1/2-year-old to play with at the moment. If there was any more sand inside she would just get it everywhere!It’s a fantastic sensory toy and keeps her busy for hours! We do play our sandbox on top of a plastic play sheet so there’s less clean up.

My 2 year old supervised loves playing with this. 7 Tools to keep her busy for a long time. Good quality eazy to use and lots of fun. Easy to pack away after use.

Bought this for our 3 year old son. He got a small Kinetic Sand kit for Christmas and loved it, but tended to get it all over the place. Spotted this kit which when opened, creates an enclosed play area so if put on a wipeable mat/cloth as well, there is much less mess.He will literally play for hours with this, which anyone with a 3 year old will know is unusual, as their attention span is quite short. He adds other toys, such as cars and diggers and it's all fine as the sand doesn't stick.
