Jesus Storybook Bible Hardcover – 1 Mar. 2012

I have few Bible stories at home, but they overlooked lots of details in the story, this one is really different in a good way!! Very good explanation of each story, nice format, easy to read and my kids love reading them by themselves.This stories are written in a way that my kids feel that they are part of that story too.Once again very good written, detailed which leave my kids with good imagination of what the story is about, which leads us to a good Bible study with kids!!!

I bought this book to read to my 8 year old grandson, we're not a particulary religious family, but he had asked me a few things about the bible, so I thought I'd give it a go and he he really enjoys the stories, and can understand how they are relevant in our lifetime. It's written really well for children to be able to understand and I would definitely reccomend this book for young children. 👍

This children's bible is told in 44 stories- 21 from the OT and 23 from the NT. Every story links to the ongoing plan of God's "Never stopping, never giving up, unbreaking, always and forever love." It does this by linking every bible story to Jesus's death and resurrection.For example, at the end of the story where Moses comes down from the mountain with the 10 Commandments to see the people with the golden calf the book says "No matter how hard the people tried they could never keep God's Rules all the time. God knew it and he wanted them to know it too. Only one person could keep all the rules. And many years later God woud send him- to stand in their place and be perfect for them."I really love this truly beautifully written way of retelling God's story for children and as a long standing christian and Sunday School teacher it has affected me greatly. I would recommend this book to ALL Christians and the God-curious. I bought this copy as a gift for a work colleague's daughter aged 5 who is really loving it. I use my own copy extensively in Sunday School. It makes for a perfect gift and there are also DVD's and an audio CD available (read so well by David Suchet of Poirot fame).

Excellent value, prompt delivery, condition as stated

Brought this book, mid August this year and I read it every night to my 6 year old as a bed time story. I am so glad that he had the chance to find out about God, Jesus how the world was made trough words he can easily understand. He was a bit upset we got to the end of the book tonight but absolutely loved every story. He even talked about it at school, as one of his favourite non fiction book. Truly recommend this book, specially for bedtime stories.

This Children's Bible is an inspired work, from start to finish (although I'm a granddad, I loved it).A clear understanding of both Old and New Testaments makes it child's play!1) The illustrations by Jago are well adapted for young children; colourful, humorous, non-threatening, inviting.2) David Suchet's voice on the 3CDs is perfect: the intonation, the meaning given, all warms one's heart.3) Sally Lloyd-Jones must be world-renowned for this work: it is a masterpiece. No matter what your beliefs, stop awhile and listen. Here is Good News.The way Sally weaves Jesus into the Old Testament stories was the most inspiring element for me. Old became New, and suddenly made sense.She also avoids genealogy lists, violence, and grown-up sins. This makes it more acceptable for younger readers.I love the book. I love the 3 CD's. I highly recommend this work. Buy it as a present, for anyone: 3 year olds, grandfather, and everyone in-between. I'm going to send this De-Luxe version to my son who is 23. It is the best introduction to the Bible I've ever seen.

Brought as a baptism gift. The book is lovely and colourful with great illustrations.
