Portwest PW59 Hard Hat Lightweight Adjustable Safety Bump Cap Helmet Navy

I ordered this becuase of the low ceilings and beams where I work. It’s very sturdy and fits comfortably.

This hat is fairly generous in size but gives plenty of protection. I find it useful when mowing under trees with low branches but it will obviously have many uses

A well made protective hat, although it only comes in one size and is on the large side for my head. I added some extra padding at the sides and it is a better fit!

I was shown one of these caps by a friend, who received it as a Christmas present. The cap was a great price and arrived very quickly. Haven't used it yet, but know it will be handy for the future e.g. working in my house loft putting in additional loft insulation. As it states on a label inside the cap it is NOT an industry approved hard hat. However it has a solid plastic liner, with a high density compression foam (don't know correct term) stretching back to front across the middle to cushion the top of your head if you came into contact with a hard surface - whether wood or brick etc. This simple safety cap could help you avoid nasty bumps and bruises, and help avoid more serious injuries.

Lightweight, not bad value, but ventilation is sadly lacking. Due to it's plastic construction and no vent holes further up on the cap, the cap became very wet even in realitively cool temperatures.

I have to have a protective helmet and this does the job very nicely.
