Easy to fit and use
I have struggled to find a test clip that works reliably. This one clipped on easily and made a good connection. I was able to read and write from the chip with no issues.

Took me about an hour to realise that the clip wasn't quite on the chip properly. You have to play around with it to get it to make contact with the chip.

It can however take a couple of tries to get a perfect contact with the chip
If you are buying this cable to flash a ROM in circuit (e.g. on your motherboard) then I can testify that it works and it will get the job done. It can however take a couple of tries to get a perfect contact with the chip. The only downside of this cable is that it is rather short. Make sure that you line up the pink lead with the notch on the chip you want to connect to.

Cheap crap
The time wasted trying to use this I could have removed and re soldered the chip 3 or 4 times same your money and buy better

No de-soldering and re-soldering of the chips required
In conjunction with WINGONEER EEPROM Routing USB Programmer CH341A Writer LCD Flash for 25 SPI Series 24, I recovered my $2,000 27" touchscreen i7 PC using this, after DELL and Microsoft Windows 10 managed to kill it, without claiming responsibity for it. I mean kill it - just black screen without any BIOS access. I have also recovered two ASUS touchscreen high spec laptops for my children after Windows 10 upgrade disasters. This is excellent because you don't need to desolder and resolder the chips; just in-situ.

very good
used afew times to connect to eeprom chips , this worked much better then I exspected , it grips the chips perfectly and was able to read with 0 read failure. , it connects to my orange 5 aswell as my xprog. no issues

Pins do not reach the end of the clip
Very poor quality, the pins do not reach to the end of the clip as shown in the imasges, in reality the pins are 2mm short of the end so connecting to an in circuit component is impossible. I di manage to push the pins down the clip and get them nearer to the end but the heat shrink on the soldered connection meant the pins pulled back from the end of the clip over time (a coule of hours).
