While eggshell is not known to be a vegetable , I think the name refers to something an ovovegetarian might eat. Not all vegetarians eat eggs of course . This product should be acceptable to ovovegetarians and others who will not take other forms of collagen for ethical reasons.Another way this really interests me is that a few years ago I encountered eggshell membrane collagen in a supplement and read up on it. It’s not too surprising that eggshell membrane contains a lot of nutrients since the shell is a cradle for life.
