Lots of uses
I ordered this when I was feeling a bit poorly and craving boxed mac and cheese as comfort food. I am pleased to say this product makes it possible to replicate this childhood favourite perfectly any time! But I've already thought of lots of other uses: sprinkled on popcorn, chips and crisps, added to doughs and batters, cooked with cream for a super easy cheese sauce. At just under £15 at time of writing, this might seem like a pricey product, but the flavour is intense enough that a little goes a long way so a jar should last quite awhile. I am already planning to order the blue cheese version and expect this will become a staple in my kitchen from now on. It's not going to be a straight substitute for actual cheese, but it doesn't need refrigeration, a little goes a long way, and there are times when this will actually work better than real cheese anyway (like that popcorn!)

Don’t waste your money
This is disappointing and disgusting.I had expected it to taste like a boxed mac and cheese powder would, so with that said, I didn’t have extremely high expectations. I mean, there is only so much you can expect from powdered cheese! My daughter tried some of it and had to throw it away.I tried to make some this morning. I figured if I put it on my pasta with a load of butter, the butter would add some flavor. Nope 👎 it clumps up instead of stirring in. Once you get it stirred in, it’s disgusting.I really can’t think of anything I can even possibly use it for. It has a funny aftertaste to boot.

Makes lovely Mac and cheese
I bought this hoping to find something like the powder in Kraft Cheesy Macaroni, because their cheese sauce is lovely, but the pasta is awful. This isn't at all the same but it still makes an excellent macaroni and cheese once you get the hang of it. There was quite a lot of trial and error for us, and this does clump up terribly if you just dump it in with the milk like you would with Kraft. Also I wouldn't make Macaroni and cheese with this on its own. You need to add fresh cheese as well. We also found it nice with a bit of onion salt on very thin fried potatoes, and you can put it on popcorn, or in making nacho sauces, but we primarily use it just for cheesy macaroniTo get this to blend into a really nice smooth cheese sauce, you need to mix it flour, roughly equal parts. Melt some butter in pan and make a paste. Then beat in milk... or cream if you wish to be very decadent, add whatever other cheeses you like, perhaps a bit of parmesan if you have it , some processed cheese, cheddar or be greedy and add them all. You can then either stir it through the pasta and eat as it is, or stir through and place in casserole dish. Top with a mixture of bread crumbs, parmesan and this all blended together, and a bit of grated cheddar, and bake. For variety you can add things like tinned ham, spring onions, crumbled bacon, sliced tomatoes and so on. I especially like bacon in the crumb topping. If making nachos, you also need to make the flour and butter paste first, then add fresh cheeses , milk and spices. For camping, when you wouldn't have fresh ingredients I would mix with flour and dried milk powder before going. It won't be as good but where weight matter, it would be better than most backpacking food. Just add the water very slowly and whisk well. If you can carry a bit of cheddar or processed cheese it would be better. And if we get another lockdown and difficulty in getting groceries again, a bottle of this and a block of processed cheese in the pantry could go a long way towards making some nicer meals.

So cheesy, so yummy!
I picked this up to use as seasoning for home made tortilla chips, crisps and popcorn. It's the perfect cheese seasoning because it is simply cheese. No extra stuff, no "cheese flavored" junk, just cheese in powder form.I also found it makes an amazing replica of American "boxed" stovetop macaroni & cheese. If you have ever had it you will know what I'm talking about: making it from "scratch" using this powdered cheddar makes it much more economical than those pricey imported blue boxes. If you haven't had it: buy this tub of cheese now, and follow the directions on the back. Yummy mac & cheese in under 15 minutes. It also makes a quick and easy nacho cheese sauce or you can add it to sour cream or cream cheese for an instant cheese dip for crisps or veggies.

Nicer than the Kraft Mac and cheese powder!!!
Fab! My husband is Canadian and loves the powdered cheese that comes in the Kraft Mac and cheese, I have often paid over the odds to get some just for the small packet of powder to make him a sauce to have with gammon... THEN I FOUND THIS!! It’s the same type only more flavour!! Price is amazing! So far I’ve made a Mac and cheese, sauce for gammon and , had it sprinkled over chips. I also made a thicker sauce and we had it on our burgers!! Tonight we are make chicken and going to sprinkle it over near end of cooking! It is so versatile. Definitely worth it!

Tasty and versatile
Never used powdered cheese before, i am converted, made a lovely quick cheese sauce for mac and cheese. Also drizzled on chips nice. Sprinkled on wedges. I added powdered bechamel sauce to make cheese spread keeps lovely in a jar in the fridge, lovely on toast (add milk to turn the spread back into a sauce). Going to make lasagne and try some cheese flavoured home made crisps. Would make tasty cheese straws too or a lovely dip for tortilla chips. This is so versatile, I've found a new store cuboard staple. I'm a happy bunny.
