Does the job!
A nice little handy welding set. Perfect for odd jobs or smaller jobs around the house. We're in the middle of construction a little office shut in the garden and this has come in perfect for some little odd jobs. The price is greta for what you get and the whole thing come in it's own mini tool box making it perfectly easy to store away.

Decent heat but not the easiest to handle
This heat gun has its advantages and drawbacks. With 1600 watts of heat output and adjustable temperature settings, it handles tasks like shrinking PVC tubing or stripping paint from an old door effectively. However, I found it larger and bulkier than expected, which made certain jobs a bit more challenging. Holding it for extended periods wasn’t particularly comfortable when working with smaller materials. The included attachments are useful, though some feel a bit loose when fitted. It heats up at a reasonable pace but takes some time to reach maximum temperature. The biggest drawback is the instruction booklet, it’s poorly written and lacks clear guidance on using the various accessories. Those with experience in heat welding may find it a valuable addition to their tools, but beginners might face a bit of a learning curve.

No problems
I got this for a one off job, Good cheap heat gun for the money, good selection of accessories although the trimming blades and grooving tool blades don’t last long on altro Aquarius flooring so if you have a lot to weld buy more. Attachments are a little loose even when tightened right up but did the job fine.Needs a good few minutes to get to temperature but worked greatOn the whole good value for the price

Big, and crude in some ways, but potentially a handy kit with various uses.
This isn't quite the plastic welder I was expecting, and I don't think it suitable for the type of tasks I had in mind. It's too big and imprecise to be useful for repairing broken trim and internal parts of switches for example. It is essentially a large hot-air gun, supplied as a kit in a nice plastic tool box. The gun is linear, fairly comfortable to hold, but lacks a trigger. The single speed blower is switched on and off with a rocker switch on the rear end, under the cable entry. This is a bit awkward, and nor conducive to fast operation. It would take time to find in an emergency. There is a rotary temperature control adjacent to the switch. The front end of the tool has a large rubber cap that serves as a rest when it is put down, and the gun balances on it quite well, keeping the hot nozzle off the work surface. Two nozzle adaptors are provided, a flat one and a tubular one, both slipping over the gun's nozzle and being secured with a screw and nut. This works, but is not very elegant. The nut tends to turn with the screw. Something like a thumb-screw and captive nut would be easier to use. There are two further adaptors that are a push fit on the tubular nozzle, and are designed for seam-sealing sheet plastic materials and similar tasks. I haven't tried these yet. The kit also includes a spare heating element, plastic rods for use with the sealing adaptors, two bladed tools which appear to be for helping prepare surfaces for welding, a roller, a cleaning brush and an instruction manual. The latter is reminiscent of the hastily-prepared sheets sometimes supplied with oriental equipment in the 1960s and later, being poorly printed and lazily translated. It makes no reference to the accessories in the kit, and is concerned only with the heat gun itself. The listing page is more informative in this respect.I used the flat nozzle to shrink and melt some solder/glue/ shrink tubing wire connectors. The largest one, using 12 AWG wire, shrank as well as with other air guns, but the solder didn't melt. Choosing the highest heat setting didn't help, but using the tubular nozzle did eventually get the job done, although the heat-shrink tubing scorched in one spot. The smallest wire connector, 20 AWG, worked better, but I wouldn't choose this device for that job in preference to a lighter and more convenient DIY paint stripping gun.In summary, this kit has its plus points, such as the kit box, and the long flexible mains cord, but against that is the unproven build quality and unpolished design. I would suggest that care needs to be taken that this is going to be the right tool and will get used enough to justify the £100 (approx) asking price.

A great kit but has issue.
I'm a useful type of man who can turn his hand to anything. I have tried plastic welding in the past using a decorators hot air gun with a range of success's and failures. I got this kit so I could learn how to do it properly and then use it in conjunction with my hobby of woodworking. The kit is excellent. With the gun, you get a load off tools and accessories and it all comes in it's own plastic toolbox. I wanted to give this a 4 / 5 star rating as I think as a complete kit is well put together with quality parts from good quality materials. The problem with this set up is the instructions that come with it. The leaflet you get is a total waste of paper and ink. As a beginner I would at least expect a list of what the accessories are and what they can be used for but what you get is a badly translated load of rubbish that most of which doesn't make any sense at all. Having searched the web for ages there is still some tool's I don't know what there for or what they do. I have watched a few video's of people using a similar gun and have learnt the basics so now it will be down to practice before I try to make something for real. I have tried it on several bit's of scrap plastic and it does do a great job when you get it right. As a kit it's brilliant, if you know how to use it but it seem all manufactures these days expect everyone to know everything about everything. Highly recommended if you know how to use one.

Good set
This is a good set. Comes inA Sturdy tool box which is handy. It’s really good quality/ the instructions are pretty basic so I’d say you should have some experience first before you use it. Good value for money.
