Looks like a camp fire at night
Bought this to use for a Halloween display of skeletons sitting around a fire BBQing barbies. Looks just like a camp fire at night. Worked great.

If I can't find a fireplace, I'll make one instead.
The media could not be loaded. Perfect for adding a little flair to my Christmas display! We both always had a fireplace growing up so when our rental house didn't have one I took matters into my own hands. For the price, I think that the size and quality of this item are more than satisfactory. Put some logs around it and it will look much bigger than it is! Our only complaint is the noise, you can hear it very well in the video. However, I cut a paper plate in half and sort of wrapped it around the front half of the machine and it does a decent job of deflecting the sound. Worst case scenario, I'll just put on some Christmas music to drown it out! Overall, very satisfied. Happy Holidays!

Assembles really. Decent value, pretty bright, a little on the small side, cord could be longer. Not rechargeable

It's just Ok
I took off 4 stars for PRICE, Safety and Quality, and Short Cord.This is basically a small plastic cylinder with a PC fan inside with a bright red LED that shines on 3 pieces of cloth that are glued onto the plastic. It does look fairly from a distance but if you get too close and see it from a slightly higher level the led light is VERY bright in your eyes.Next the Safety. The fan does not have a safety cage over it and if you or a small child puts their fingers into it or picked it up wrong the fan wall strike your fingers. It spins fast enough a small child could be cut.Next, the power cord is super short and barely over 12" long. I had to use an extension cord with it.Overall it's ok and looks pretty cool, but has some flaws for the price.

super cute saucer-sized faux fire -a hit with the kids and NDs
We had this on the table at our daughter's camping-themed birthday party. We had smores-pops (giant marshmallows dipped in chocolate then in graham cracker crumbs) on sticks around the fire and the kids loved pretending to roast their marshmallows. It is realistic enough to keep my brain fooled out of the corner of my eye a couple times. It would be great on a stage as far as realism, but you'd need a lot. the fire is about tea-saucer sized, so it'd be perfect for a torch on a wall maybe? but on a stage it would be a pretty small fire. The noise wasn't bad outside with tons of kids and parents, but would be more obvious in a silent setting, obviously.
