Better than traditional strikers
I work HVAC as a welder, and this thing is perfect for lighting up oxy fuel torches, and turbo torches.Works just as intended. Never have to worry about flint running out, and easier to use.

When they say "only for welding torches", I guess they mean it?
I had a hand-held piezoelectric lighter made of plastic for my gas stovetop burners, that worked great until I melted it. I searched for a less-plastic, hopefully more durable replacement for it, and thought this might do the trick. It's the same basic principle, it's just made of metal. What could go wrong? It works exactly the same way as my previous lighter: you squeeze the handle, and it creates sparks. I can *SEE* the sparks this device makes when I squeeze the handle. And yet, for no reason I can explain, these perfectly visible sparks stubbornly refuse to light my gas burners.Maybe it does actually work for acetylene welding torches, and absolutely nothing else for some reason? I don't know how that would work. But I'm sad to report here that it won't light my stovetop.

Go ahead stick your finger in the end. First thing you need to do is stick your finger in the end of it 😂 it’s a nice striker works really well and easy to use. I will never go back to a traditional striker.

Great Striker!
I’ve used this tool over six years and it has not failed me! It’s well made and it produces strong sparks every time. Definitely recommended!

Very durable
Very good striker, I have had good luck with it and even accidentally ran it over with a CEMENT truck and it still worked for another year! until I let the new guy use it once then it quit working so of course I had to buy another.

Hit or miss
Great tool, have ordered multiple. Only issue I have is sometimes you get the parts to adjust the striker and sometimes you don't. Otherwise a very nice striker.
