great use of waste for the compost
I recently signed up for a new composting company in my area where they come to your house with a clean bucket every week and take back your bucket that is full of garbage it be composted. With my first delivery, I received a box of these 3 gallon BioBags, 25 count to use in my counter top bin. They are the most amazing bags (I remember seeing comparable bags at Trader Joe's to put produce in.) They're made out of cornstarch and I wasn't sure if they were up for the task of my trash, but yes, they were. No leaks, very strong and I love the feel of them. We all need to start doing what little we can for the environment and the beauty of my being part of this compost company is that at the end of the season, they drop me off composted soil for my garden. Win, Win situation.

Accepted by our local compost collector
The 3-gal size of this brand is one of the only bag types accepted by our local collector, so I was glad to find them here on Amazon for a decent price. Since they biodegrade easily, they’re pretty flimsy and don’t do well with moisture, so you’ll need to take them out often (especially if you’re putting in food items with a lot of moisture).

Went through the whole pack
They served me well, never had any rupture but I was also careful not to tempt fate by like putting tons of wet rags in it. But way more importantly, I could actually find third party verification (through BPI) that this bag is actually as biodegradable as it says.Even a cursory search will show you that there's really nothing to stop unscrupulous "brands" from saying their bags are compostable or "green" (lmao). Please PLEASE look up the BPI certification or any other similar outside verification for any products like this that you buy. And it's not like I'm a rabid environmentalist, I'm honestly just buying stuff like this to look good, but I would rather give myself a lobotomy with a soup ladle than spend money on a deceptive product like 90% of the other biodegradable bags on here are.

Fits our 3 gallon compost can perfectly. Does the job withou tearing
This bag fits my 3 gallon compost trash can perfectly. We use about two bags a week so this 100 count should last almost a year, Easy to grab the edges of the bag and tie up. Perfect!

Decent bag, but sweats ....
First off, I plan to reorder these bags. Using them reduces my feelings of guilt over landfill plastics, and they do the job they're intended for.Pros:- They're relatively inexpensive compared to some similar bags- Serve most of my standard household trash needs just fine- Relieve my conscience a bitCons (minor):- They're not as sturdy as some of the name brand trash bags but I didn't expect that. As long as I don't fill them with heavy or sharp-cornered items, durability's not an issue.- Moisture will collect on the outside of the bag, particularly if it's not lining a container that allows for air passage. I switch out the bag that I use for my cat's litter box two to three times a week, but the dampness seeps through. It's not pleasant, but neither is cleaning a litter box. Not a deal breaker.Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase.
