Beautiful piece of leather at a good price.
Very pleased with the quality and price on this 12” x 24” piece. It was a true rectangular cut and uniform in thickness. There was enough variation in the pebble grain that I could choose exactly the look and texture I wanted for the two slip pockets on a travel bag I am modifying. The thickness was perfect for sewing on my home machine and was soft and flexible with a little stretch. The leather smelled great.I first went to a nearby Tandy Leather store hoping to buy locally but they had almost no selection of pieces this small and what they had was much more expensive. It was shipped folded but the creases were very soft and round and not a problem for this project. I rolled the remnant and I think the creases have already disappeared.

Very high quality leather! Pleasantly surprised and highly recommend!
The leather is absolutely beautiful! I only found this company because I wanted to replace the cover to my husband's car center console. I was going to use fabric but was delighted to find leather a such a reasonable price. I was even more surprised at the smooth supple quality of this leather. If you watch their video, this is a old family business. I was not expecting leather of this quality! Highly recommend! I only did the center console....maybe the seats are next.

Captain Honeybadger
Great quality material, bought this to recover my Bible it worked great. Decided to to make a mask out of the remaining material and start fighting crime in our city ( captain honeybadger) the mask looks really cool but just a warning, it will not help you fly from the roof of the outhouse. Soon as the hip replacement is completed we shall see if cpt honeybadger has super speed or super strength.

12" x 24" is perfect amount to re-upholster executive size leather desk chair arm rests
The leather piece I needed mine for is for an executive size office chair (12" x 24" cut) as I needed 6" x 12" for each arm rest. I just folded this piece in half and cut evenly in half. The rectangular shape you receive is a bit more than 12" wide, but is 24" in length. No worries that the piece you get is unusual cuts or anything. Just a straight 12" x 24" piece is what you'll get. but I understand the concern, as I thought the same thing. The leather smells and feels like genuine leather. It's not too thick and not too thin. I have a photo of what I was replacing it with. The old is on the left side and the new piece of leather is on the right in one of the later photos. It appears to be almost a millimeter more in thickness. However, due to the age of my old arm rest's leather, wearing down and shrinking from usage, it may have been the same as the new leather's thickness. The leather is not so thick that it isn't pliable enough to wrap-fold the rounded edges of the arm rests, it is firm but bendable to not leave fold marks too much. Being my first time, that was the most difficult part. I also use the scrap piece of trim for the underside of the arm rest from the old arm rests to keep it stable and hopefully durable. It worked, it's really strong and aestethically pleasing having a beaded edge look to it as it was before. Each photo has different lighting, night time when I was done and how it appears in tghe day's blue hue lighting so you could see the leather's color and sheen. The leather's sheen does match the unworn cushioned back side of my desk chair. These photos were taken before I got all the duct tape off and the leftover duct tape's glue residue that I hadn't cleaned off yet when I took these photos.Today is February 10, 2023 and the job has been done and in use for 8 days so far. Since reupholstering and cleaning the rest of the duct tape's glue residue, it's back to almost new looking again. The important part is folding over the rounded edges if redoing the leather covers on the arm rests and making sure you use the right size staples with stapler. I used a Stanley ProSharpShooter stapler and half inch/12mm staples, when I could have used 3/8" even 5/16" to staple the leather onto the arm rest internal boards. I just pounded them down with a hammer and checked to make sure they were stapled in firmly and not loose. My suggestion, just make sure to check for any welt impressions from misaligned padding or in need of a bit of padding, or staples, wood, etc., etc. on the exposed top part you're covering before stapling down your new leather. I do have one spot on my left arm rest with a bump, not sure what it is though, but the padding must have been worn. Hopefully this company will be around if it happens to wear down and come through. This as good as it gets though, for less than $20, and not having to buy some really expensive-not so good of materials type of desk chair they're out there selling now (but I do have an extra new desk chair now that I bought a new one from Amazon as I thought of this restore project AFTERWARDS haha)All in all, I'm glad I found this company on Amazon and was able to get the exact size I needed without wasting a bunch of leather, if it had been too large for my project. It turned out great and will last who know how many more years, maybe 5, 10 years? Thanks, Reed Leathers Hides. Now there's one less thing in the landfill and getting more use out of a completely perfect desk chair.I fully recommend this Amazon seller ✪✰✪✰✪

Quality Leather From Reed
Ordered 12" x 24" leather, 1.2mm thick, Black. Perfectly rectangular with 1/8" extra all around. Supple and flawless grain, color & finish. Smells as leather should. Looks like garment grade or better to me. This piece came folded, as mentioned in other reviews, but creases were not sharp. My application was for recovering office chair armrests, stretched a bit and fully glued in place. Creases were not an issue for me. I suspect the slight creases could be dealt with by a person with leather experience but I am not one. Would absolutely buy from Reed again.
