Product had obviously been tested or returned as there were several places with rust. I loved the look of the foundation so I invested the time to wipe as much of the rust off as I could and my husband was sweet enough to apply 2 coats of clear Rustoleum acrylic to prevent further rusting. After this extra work, he assembled it and we fired it up after adding 2 gallons of distilled water. It isn’t as loud as I had hoped on the low speed but it is pleasant and relaxing. Also, noted that one of the leaves is welded on crooked, making the water fall onto the below leaf in a manner that makes it run outside and along the bottom of the leaf.Update ~ Hubby forgot to spray bucket so all of the water turned a rusty red. Cleaned it out and ran fresh water thru pump to clear out all the rust. Put 2 plastic bags in bucket to put pump in, but after 2 days water started to turn rusty again. I wish I could return this $150 piece of junk, but return window closed yesterday 😡Loved the unique look and size of it just wish it didn’t rust so much

The media could not be loaded. *** Update: The manufacturer called and offered to make this issue right. Although we went ahead and purchased a new pump, the company sent a thank you gift - we thought this was a nice gesture.We are now rating this at 4-stars vs 1-star as we should not have had to go through all of this to get a part replaced that was defective in the first place. ***We loved this fountain until the motor ran loud a week later. We took it apart, cleaned it andstill nothing. Amazon issued a partial refund for the inconvenience and sent us to the manufacturer for a replacement. The manufacturer referred us back to Amazon as we purchased the fountain "like new" so the warranty was null and void. We are very disappointed.Anyway, we are going to purchase a new motor... hopefully this works.

I LOVED IT. THE TRANQUIL WAS SO RELAXING. HOWEVER, IT STOPPED FLOWING. I'M NOT SURE ON HOW TO REORDER PARTS.

I now have THREE of these Alpine fountains in different areas of my yard.Finches, Wrens, Titmice, and other tiny birds--even a Yellow-Bellied Sap Sucker!-- flit from branches and bushes on the patio to two of the fountains, seeming to play tag as they happily chirp and take turns splashing in the "leaves." Meanwhile, Cardinals, Blue Jays and Robbins squeeze their larger bodies onto the base and revel in the stream. The Alpine fountain is well made of sturdy materials, easy to assemble and clean, and will bring hours of pleasure in warm weather months to you and your feathered buddies--promise! I do not use the fountains as indoor decor, but the flow can be adjusted to avoid splashing.

The fountain is beautiful. I have 2 of these, one purchased from a local retailer, and one purchased from Amazon; but both are from Alpine. The one I purchased locally is lovely, very quiet and perfect; however, the one purchased from Amazon came with a VERY loud pump - the pump was louder than the water sound. I contacted Alpine, they sent a replacement pump (after I had to send a video of the issue). The replacement pump is also louder than the water, and their customer service recommends now that I return the item. They do not wish to continue to work w me on the issue. I will likely try to purchase a replacement fountain separately. Not great customer service.

I love this fountain. Pretty sound. The birds love it! The dogs love it (lol) I love sitting next to it while having my morning coffee. But I should have treated it with a clear coat of some sort. It is already starting to rust and I fear will not last as long as my previous fountain lasted. Bummer.
