People love eating the melon sticks—they are surprised by the texture and just the “fun” way to eat melon. The only drawback is that the slicer seems to dull fairly quickly. I sliced up probably 4-5 melons, first cutting the whole melon in half lengthwise with a knife, then using the slicer to cut all the rest, but on the last one, I had to do much more cutting first with the knife, cutting off all the rind, then used the slicer for the non-rind parts. The order does come with two slicers, so that’s good. I guess you might have to ask ACE hardware to sharpen the cutting edge. :)

I was in Costco one day and a woman at one of the sample tables was cutting cheese sticks with one of these. She said she used to cut vegetables for her kids with it to get them to eat them. And she said hard boiled eggs look nice with cut in half with this tool. So I ordered one. I nice change from regular cut up veggies.

It looks clean and and efficient to make a lot of crinkle cuts, but it is a little bigger than needed.
