Cheap chair, broke quickly
I don't know how this chair received good reviews. I was looking for a low-cost decent office chair and this one looked like a good option based on reviews, but I was disappointed immediately. Putting the chair together wasn't hard, but the first time I sat in it I could feel how cheap the materials are and how uncomfortable it is. The height adjustment stopped working reliably after just 2 weeks, and a wheel popped off after the first 2 months. The back support piece is a cheap piece of plastic that snapped off after a couple of days. Don't waste your money. This may be cheap, but it still isn't worth the money.

Seemed like a Great Chair, Until It Broke
The chair is relatively comfortable, and the lumbar support aggressive - no complaints as it forces correct posture. My issue is the lumbar support broke no more than 2 weeks after I purchase the product. And it has already started to obnoxiously squeak. I am 5'9 and 180 lbs - this shouldn't be an issue. Honestly, that was my main worry when I initially purchased the product, bummer that it ended up happening. Quick shipping from the seller though. It would have been rated higher if it didn't break after minimal use.

Try this chair!
Purchased this with only 2 reviews. Took a chance but love this chair. It has an adjustable lumbar piece which mostdo not at this price point. Arms do go back for ease in moving chair under desk. Seat is quite comfortable firm but nice amount of padding. Arms are padded also.Would buy again.

Lightweight with mesh back with an issue
I decided to give this chair a try because my old desk chair is wearing out. I wanted to try a chair with a mesh back, and while I prefer adjustable arms, at least the arms on this chair can be moved out of the way, so I decided to give the Modway EEI-2992-BLK a try. After I've had a little time to use it, I'd say this chair review is really a 3 1/2 star review. Let me address the pros and the cons.Pros - This chair is super lightweight - it's the lightest chair I've ever owned, and so it moves around very easily. - Waterfall seat front, which keeps my legs from getting pressure where the front of the seat hits my thighs. - Cushion is at least as good as other chairs in its price range and better than some. I tried some chairs at Costco and Staples that had a hard support where your thighs meet the chair that you could feel through the seat cushion. Not so this chair, which has a decent amount of cushioning. Will it flatten over time? I'll update the review if it does. - Arms can be pushed up when you don't want to lean on them. The arms are also cushioned, not lots but more than a lot of chairs in this price range, many of which are just hardish plastic. - Casters have smooth action, making it easier to move around and super easy to move from one room to another.Cons - Just as several reviewers have said, the lumbar support is the big downside here. Mine is adjustable up and down - I noticed that some users said theirs wasn't adjustable - but it doesn't really help. I'm 5' 3", and the lumbar support at its lowest is still pressing into the part of my back above my lumbar. The lumbar support also sticks out pretty far - I usually lean forward when I work, and this is the only chair where the lumbar support even touched my back. It's not cushioned at all, btw - it's just two plastic arms pushing a piece of fairly hard plastic into your back. Huge fail. My husband is talking about removing it and replacing it with some foam. Luckily he's very handy. - The allen wrench could be a problem if you're not used to building stuff. It doesn't correctly fit the hardware and the edges are so soft that the corners all flattened even while the tool was inserted all the way into the screws; it shouldn't have been able to move enough to flatten those soft edges. - Because the lumbar support is so uncomfortable, I won't be able to benefit from the mesh back's coolness as it's immediately painful to sit back because of the lumbar support. For me, all the good features of this chair - and it definitely has some - are overshadowed by the lumbar support's discomfort. If you happen to be the right height so the lumbar support fits you, chances are you'll like this chair; if you're my height or shorter, chances are the lumbar support will push into your back above your lumbar. If my husband mods the chair, I'll update this review to let you know how it worked out. You can use the arms or push them out of the way, the fabric is cool and the waterfall seat is a plus as are the casters. For me, this is a nice chair with one fatal flaw; for those who are taller, it will probably be a nice chair.

Avg chair but lumbar support, doesn't.
- Rated at 331#, which is an odd number but respectable- Tilts but not far back, does have a lock and tension adjust- Arms are either use or not use, no adjustment possible- Seat padding isn't generous but it's adequate and the fabric is breathy- Casters are ok. They move ok, about avg. Plastic, not very heavy duty.- The floor stand is somewhat unique. Instead of the usual 5 'prongs' where the casters pop in perpendicularly, this has the stand prongs bending to accept the casters. That's not the strongest design choice but it does look different.- Assembly was relatively easy, instructions made sense, parts lined up.- Back is a very breathy mesh- Lumbar support - see detailsThe casters are pretty low end. I think the chair will outlast them. It's a respectably comfy chair, if you leave the lumbar support off. It's supposed to be able to move, but I couldn't get it to. I'm pretty smack average height but it doesn't hit me in the right place. It's decent looking. I don't think it would be rated for all day use. It should be fine for part time use.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many things you buy every day will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice.
