Very easy to put together. Functional. Looks great too.

I stupidly bought two of these. As other reviewers have noted, the doors don’t stay closed properly, they are made of cheap material, and they are a pain to put together. Then this morning, I opened the door to get a CD, and the whole thing fell apart and topped over, spilling CDs everywhere and breaking some of the cases. This thing is garbage. Don’t buy it. I only gave it one star because there is no way to give it a zero or negative stars, but I would highly nearly give is a Negative 5.

Takes two people for door attachment to hinges and back plate. For back plate one person to squeeze top and bottom to sides since dowels and locks do not line up well. Other than that it looks and functions well.

This is a nice looking cabinet, but poorly put together. It comes disassembled except for the "door E" which is preassembled from five pieces. My cabinet came with all five pieces separate with indications that they were once glued together and held by about a dozen tiny 3/16" brads the thickness of a common pin. Most of the brads were bent over. I had to pull out all of the brads, reglue all the pieces, then nail it all together with my electric trim nailer. It's a good thing that I'm a DIY cabinet installer and had the tools, materials, and expertise to repair the cabinet's shortcomings.

I picked this after looking at so many others. I was almost frightened off by the “complicated assembly” some mentioned.My husband had no problem putting this together himself.I’m still giving this a five star because of the design and functionality of this media storage stand BUT I wish the assembled unit was more like wood. It looks okay from a distance but don’t expect it to be “furniture” - I masked it’s outer appearance by placing it in a corner behind a chair.The functional design makes this a great choice for us just the same. I’m satisfied with this unit and glad I picked it.Came well package with 1 page directions - again, assembled by husband without any complaints and that’s rare.

I had previously left a review stating that it was very nice looking and pretty easy to assemble. HOWEVER, I have since attempted to fill it with CDs. I filled the body of it just fine. However, when I started putting CDs in the door, I got about half way through and the whole thing toppled over! I closed the door and stood it back straight up, but now the door would not stay closed, either, and the whole thing toppled over again. Not designed to handle what it claims to.

Structurally the cabinet is OK, but the finish is extremely poor. I got the cabinet with several parts already scratched, but it was pretty easy to see why after further examining it. The stain is so lightly applied that the wood color bleeds through over most of the cabinet. I recommend avoiding this due to the horrible finish.

Very well made and heavy-duty, very nice looking. Step-by-step instructions, with the hardware separately packaged for each step - no sorting through screws to find the right size! Only problem was the cam locks on the base. After assembly, as soon as I started putting weight in the door, one of the rear cam locks refused to hold. I ended up putting a couple of wood screws through the bottom, and would recommend doing that even if the cam locks seem OK - easier to do while assembling than after it's filled with CDs. Definitely recommend this product and would buy again.
