Comfort upgrade for Superlux 662F
Bought these to replace the cracking faux leather pads on my Superlux 662F, and they have made a remarkable difference in comfort. With the old pads my large ears had essentially been right up against the drivers, with the result that the original foam element had long ago disintegrated. These thicker LTYIV pads lift my ears just off the drivers and are very, very soft. The foam has a nice density, feels like it's molding to my head, and creates a good seal around the ear. The velour is warmer than faux leather, as others have noted, but it also breathes well, which for me adds to the comfort.Installation was fairly simple. The original pads have a protruding edge that fits under a mounting lip around the cup circumference, whereas these fit by stretching a skirt just over the back of the cup. Tip: once you get the pad "started" on the rim, hold that in place with one hand, and with the other put a fingertip under the skirt and run it up and around the perimeter. It's kind of the reverse of putting a bicycle tire on a rim. You'll see what I mean when you get to it.AUDIO: The only noteworthy change in audio quality that I have noticed thus far is that the soundstage is somewhat wider and deeper, which is likely due simply to my ears no longer being pressed against the drivers. If I notice any other audio changes down the line, I will update this review.Glad I purchased these. Highly recommend.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~12/13/22 update:FIT: These pads were comfortable out of the box, but they have improved after 20 hours of use. The advertised "memory" foam actually remembers. There are now shaped indents in the pads where they contact my earlobes. Conformation all around the ear is better.AUDIO: To double-check for any audio changes, I re-installed one of the original Superlux earpads. I wore the headphones both L-R and R-L for the listening test and played a variety of sources. The only sonic difference I could detect between the new pad and the old is the above mentioned dimension/expansion in the soundstage, which I was able to more or less duplicate in the original earpad by lifting it slightly off my ear.Bottom line is that with the original earpads, the 662F were sonically similar to my studio monitors, and with these new earpads they still are.

Bought for the AKG K240 Studio
UPDATE - 7/25/2020 The one complaint I have about these is I don't like the seams inside the earcups. It's a bad place for a seam both in terms of durability and comfort. I can feel the seam on my ears and it's a bit itchy or something. Also, I noticed that one of the seams has a very small gap in it that seems like it might get bigger eventually. I may be able to repair this with some thread. I'm not sure. Anyway, I wish there was a way for these pads to be exactly what they are but just for them to have slightly bigger holes for my ears. One thing I always hated about the stock K240 Studio pads was that they squished the tops of my ears. These are the same size on the inner hole so obviously, they also squish my ears. It doesn't exactly hurt like it did with the hard fake leather of the stock pads but it kinda becomes unpleasant after wearing them for a couple of hours. I don't know. Maybe there's a pad that I can make fit that has a larger opening. I will have to look into it.END UPDATE-----------ORIGINAL REVIEWAfter at least 5 years of daily use, the stock earpads on my AKG K240 Studio headphones had had it. They were never very comfortable to start with (as you may know if you own these) and over the years had gotten increasingly uncomfortable as the "leather" hardened and flattened and tortured my ears. I literally had painful red marks on the tips of my ears that never went away from where they squished them constantly. Finally, unable to take any more, I bought these. They were easier to install than I expected and compared to the stock ones (even when new) there just is no comparison on the comfort. Huge improvement! The material actually probably makes the biggest difference, since it is super soft by it's very nature. If you're still suffering with the stock pads on these headphones, do not think twice! It's worth buying these even if they don't last too long (obviously it's hard to tell how long they will last when they're new). No real huge difference in sound quality. Well, on my headphones the sound with these pads is clearer than it was because I had to cut out the stock foam on my original pads years ago and replace it with some kind of fabric, which actually made the sound a bit muffled and I just lived with it. If you own these headphones and you're reading this review, you probably need these pads. Unless you hate the material they're made of, you can't go wrong.

Perfect pads for me and my SR850
Update after long time:So pads are still great, although the rubber or whatever on the edge of the band started peeling off. Its a bit annoying but hopefully it won't fall off, will update if it does. One day update. They're relatively easy to install.I read a lot of reviews saying some pads are like pillows for your ears, and they were true. You have to wear them to know, these things are actually super soft like velvet pillows. There's this feeling like it's getting warm but it isn't. I would say it does get warm but at 80° outside I could still wear it for more than an hour.(I would be sweating in 30 mins with my Bose qc25. I hate the QC25 sorry)My ears don't hit the cup wall(or maybe they slightly touch them), and that was my main reason for pain. I'm using it on my Samson SR850 and it feels like the sound stage opened up a bit but don't take my word for that.Overall, feels great doesn't get too warm, perfect depth for my ears. Would recommend for anyone with slightly large and protruding ears.

Very, very comfortable compared to the stock pads.
I bought this as a replacement for my ATH-AD1000.The ATH-AD1000 stock pads were quite uncomfortable, to the degree that I regretted the purchase of the headphones. I nonetheless got over it as the headset itself is good. Used them for a couple of years until they worn out.Bought these pads to replace the stock pads, and was pleasantly surprised how much more comfortable they were compared to the stock. They also appear to be pretty durable. I have been using these pads for over half a year, and they still feel as if they were new.

Replacement Pads for AKG K240 Studio - (Velvet version)
Installation was a breeze with a perfect fit, perfect sound BUT... most of all... I put these on a brand new pair of AKG K240's and the comfort was immediately noticeable. Night and day! These are SOOOOO COMFY compared to the original pads. I think I made an excellent choice with these 28mm thick velour pads. I can't say enough about how the "comfort level" has INCREASED on an already amazingly comfortable set of headphones! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 5 stars all the way! Get the velvet/velour ones and I can guarantee you WON'T REGRET IT ONE BIT! Outstanding value for the price! Thank you!

Comfortable and fluffy!
Good upgrade to replace the OEM leather pads. But it does get warm for my ears after a while. (With room temp at 24C). It is comfortable and fluffy. Perfect fit for my AKG K240.
