really good item. it works perfectly with my 2.5 laptop ssd. First i purchased enclosure but that didnt work but this item worked. I used wondershare recoverit tool to recover all my data. Thank you.

This converter is good enough for your SATA SSD (as I have only SSD, not tried with HDDs yet), it will provide decent speed. You can my attached snip for the actual results. There are couple of limitations of these converters: 1. It will not match the speed of actual SATA port, I have tried with Samsung 870EVO 1TB and Kingston 480GB SSDs and can see around 30% throughput reduction on this cable. 2. You can't boot from this converter/cable. I have my 870VO bootable drive with Win10 couldn't boot from it. 3. You can't convert your drive into Dynamic disk under Disk Management as these are on USB. I bought it for that purpose only, I have three of these converter cable with three same size SSDs, earlier I was running a stripped volume of these three SSDs and getting combined speed from that drive around 1.5BG/Sec. Had to free some SATA ports on MOBO so thought to put same SSDs on these cable and tried to convert my disk into Dynamic to create stripped volume again and end up with error 'this function is not support on this object'. Felt sad but what can be done. Explaining it here as it may help someone who is tried to do the same. There is an option called storage space under Win11 to combine your drives, but don't even try guys it is just crap, 100Gig of data copying took 30min and most of the time copying was frozen. So, using these cables you can only use each disk as separate drive or may be able to partition if needed. Will appreciate pibox to bring such solution in a budget, but quality of the material used is not that great, but reasonable for the price you paid.

I was being astonished after getting every pi-box product.& icing on the cake is it's totally indegenous!!! 1)first product apple i pad pro 2020 connectivity hub adaptor.at the price of 999 its quality surprised me & even now it is surprising me.I had one of belkin.i feel the metal is more superior in pi Box.& still giving 1 Gbps more speed than belkin 3499 one. 2)Cable adapter from sata direct[power included] to usb 3.1.sturdy,handy,easy to use.giving 500-700 mbps.without external power.in usb 3.2 port. 3)now is the hot swapping hard disk device.supports any kind of 2.5"/3.5" device with sata. Use sata 3.I have an old extra Seagate 2TB 7200rpm drive with movie library.just eject the 2.5" ssd & plug it in the same box within 3s literary.& Start watching movies.Thats called hot swapping.Until now speed & sturdiness is as per asus rog desktop I have. Conclusion-If every made in india product is like pi Box,we wouldn't just curse Chinese for exploiting india in every way possible and next day buy a Chinese mobile because it's cheap,featurefull & sooooo beautiful ll,right??? Good Product in the price range. It was difficult to fix both ends because of new model & old model hard disk. Later I had to break open one side of the old hard disk to fix both ends. Working fine.

did not work tried it with two different known good hard drives and it did not work with either one would like to have it replaced or get my money back
