Worth every penny!
I got this for after heel surgery. I figured I would mostly use it here and there and rely on my crutches. Boy was I wrong. I’m so unstable on my crutches I fell 3 times just trying to get into the house! I have been on the knee scooter ever since. Makes everything so much easier. I do recommend getting one that has a bag in front as it makes moving things around a lot easier. The knee pad itself is ok, I appreciate what it does having designed divots in it helps stabilize your knee but it does make it all a bit harder. The brakes are super responsive and sturdy. As an almost 300 pound person, I was concerned about falling off other knee scooters. Not even a concern with this. Relatively easy to assemble. Definitely practice before major use though. Takes a few tries to get comfortable with it. I got the all terrain beefier tires as I live on dirty road and it January and quite snowy. It handles rough terrain pretty well. Being bone weight bearing right now and having some pretty big tire indentations from the cars mixed with ice I was glad my husband was there to help. The turning radius it pretty good. I do have some spots where I have to drag it or work do 7 point turns. But my house is small and tight so honestly it does a great job. Never felt like I was going to fall of it. It’s larger than I thought I was hoping it could fit in a stair as I have 2 I have to get up or down to get out and in the house sadly it’s to large for this. But I do sturdy that I feel this is a good compromise. Definitely feel better using it without the worry of falling off. The handlebars fold down which made it fit in my husbands small suv well, probably would fit in a compact car. Won’t fit in a smart car (moms car). I would recommend practicing this once or twice especially if you have an inpatient husband like mine :)

Double Ankle Fracture - This is the ONE you want!
I never write reviews but this has been a LIFESAVER!!! I (female, 5’5”/late 50’s) broke my ankle in 2 places mid-May and have been non-weight bearing for 6 weeks. I purchased a different scooter for ~$159 from Amazon (5/20) and it was great until a plastic piece on one of the wheels broke in week 4! I got nervous about it fully breaking and losing all the recovery ground I’d made. Amazon ok’d me to return the other one (!) and purchased THIS much better scooter!! I was desperate to get this new scooter asap and was able to text the company to request expedited shipping and they said 2-4 days was included in the price. For my order I got it in TWO DAYS!!The nubby tires are much more stable going over driveway gravel, rocks, sidewalk bumps, and inside floor thresholds (old house) etc. These tires are also squishier so the ride is MUCH smoother and I thought the curved knee pad might be bothersome but you can adjust your knee easily even with a cast that comes right up to your knee. The better construction of this scooter is worth the extra money and piece of mind! While I liked the disc brake action on the other scooter better vs this one, there are two mental pieces that grab the tires, which works just fine going up/down slight grades. The construction of this is perfect for large men too because the knee part and handles can go much higher. Because I am 5’5”, I might ask my husband to adapt the lowest knee setting maybe an inch lower, but after three days on it I am getting better - it’s just as easy to bend a bit to zip along (really minor point, but good note for women). It’s rugged and solid - - which I need for living on a farm with a gravel driveway and uneven grass. It’s also great across bumpy and asphalt parking lots if your husband takes you to lunch! There’s a simple lever to flip to have the handle bars bend down to go into a car trunk. And, the carrying bag is a great size - fits everything for a run to Walmart, etc. I was optimistic about my getting my cast off and put a pair of sneakers in the bag (not needed because I got a walking cast). The freedom the scooter gives you really helps your mental and keeps the muscles working. Remain positive - you will get through this recovery phase!!!

Good and sturdy scooter
I underestimated how hard it is to not put a foot on the ground for 4-6 weeks! This scooter has made some of the everyday things that I need to do much easier. I want to give this knee scooter 5 stars because I do believe that it is better than average. The big air-inflated tires make it feel safe when rolling over uneven terrain, and the hand brakes work really well. I use the brake locking mechanism a lot. If I need to be up in the kitchen, etc., you can lock the brake and have a sturdy “leaning post” under you while you cook, etc. Having the brakes locked also keep the scooter from moving away from you when you are getting out of a chair, etc.My reason for 4 stars instead of five:The seat is extremely hard and is uncomfortable on your leg when you have your full weight on it for more than a few minutes. I would not be able to use the scooter without the extra memory foam pad that I bought for it. I also wish that the seat would go lower. I am 5’6” and with the seat in the lowest setting, my “pushing foot” is on its tip-toes to reach the floor if I want to stand straight up. To push the scooter with a flat foot, I end up having to lean in a position that puts some pressure on my hip, and by the end of the day, my lower back is sore if I have had to be up and around a lot. The last reason is minor but the bag on the front of the scooter is cheap, at best. It won’t open wide enough to put my small purse in. I ended up taking it off and getting a basket for the front.

Fantastic product!
This knee scooter is solid, high quality, and fits my needs 100%. It came ready to assemble in a few steps. I did not even need the instructions. I am 6'4" and about 250lbs. I easily get around on the even in tight spaces. The wheels won't act like the old metal skateboard wheels that stop on a cigarette butt on the sidewalk. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a broken foot or ankle, or like me, had surgery on ankle. Thank you Vive for this superb product. I also got the Gel Kneepad by Vive. Helps for longer hauls on the knee scooter!

Exceptional scooter
This scooster is amazing. Rolls smoothly, comfortable for my knee, and easy to turn and navigate tight spaces. Brakes lock the unit in place without fear of slipping or moving during mount and dismount. Overall a wonderful piece of equipment.
