No calories. It is ground coffee.

I don't think it's kosher. I use mine with a French press also and it's fine.

Q: Is the vanilla one supposed to come hard as a brick? I have not opened it yet

I've never received a bag that is like a brick. Not sure why some of the reviews say this is normal. Never received one hard as a brick from Amazon or my local grocery store. I have definitely received some stale Starbucks bags from Amazon. Even the freshest bags I have received are not ever or have never been as you described.
