Liquor Quik - HOZQ8-406 Natural Brandy Essence, 20 mL (Cherry Brandy)

I gave this product 5 stars because it was as advertised. I made the mistake and thought I could use it in a cake recipe, not realizing it's meant to be mixed into a bottle of liquor. So I can't use it because I don't drink, but I will give to a friend. What I needed was grand Marnier extract, which I ordered and the cake was a hit.

Smaller than I expected.

Airplane sized bottle and tastes like straight black licorice. Yuck.

Absolutely love this stuff. I added this to some oak barrel aged spirits and the went bonkers over it. I have to hide it and lie and tell them I’m out. Have already ordered more.

It was positively scary how effective the recipe on the bottle was; the taste and body of the resulting cherry brandy are excellent, the color a deep slightly rusty golden. I had purchased this to make a Black Forest Kirsch cake, but the family, who are selective about their liquor, loved this. Used 80 proof vodka as the base. The liqueur resulting from the recipe is very strong but also smooth, sweet, and appealingly weighty in the mouth. The strength of this success makes me want to try other flavors! Store in a smooth, appealing bottle, and you will produce a valued gift.

Originally came leaking, but amazon replaced it for free and very quickly. Used this to make a Black Forest cake, and it came out SO good! There’s only about 1.5 tablespoons in this bottle.
