Happy beginnings
I do love a book that makes me laugh. Mr Romance had me smiling and giggling in equal measure.Eden Tate is the kind of girl I wish I had been in my younger days. She’s funny, sassy, knows what she wants in life i.e. an amazing job, a great time with her friends and lots of peen. She also has Nannabeth. And I really really wish I had a Nannabeth with a pet duck called Moby. She stole the book.In order to get said amazing job Eden is looking for a scoop of a story. She is hot on the trail of Mister Romance, the sexy male escort who will role play your fantasy for a cute price. I’ll take the Adam Levine fantasy please and thank you.Along comes Max or is it Kieran to help her write the story of Mr R.I did think the story line was ingenious but I think it could have been so much better.I will always believe in the swoon and the happy ever after.

Reviewed by Rachel & Sharon ThérèseIf we found Ms Rayven's remarkably eloquent vocabulary fun and totally fitting for this contemporary romantic comedy, the innovative plot left us with our mouths agape! Ooh boy, and the cadence in her writing style couldn't possibly have been better. The narrative flow streams forth everything we look for in a good story; laugh out loud scenarios, antsy emotional moments and a titillating build-up to passionate steaminess. She's also cannily conveyed her characters moods and traits making each and everyone of them special. As per usual in all her books and this one is of no exception, the dialogue is quintessential. Well. . .we're both suckers for it, we can never seem to get enough and here Leisa made sure our banter-addiction was sated.“What an unexpected surprise to see you here tonight. Don’t take this as the corny line it seems to be, but do you come here often?”More often than not we go into our reads blind. Having a good idea of the genre is a must for us, but how exciting it is to have that element of surprise! In this case, it was delivered in such a way that we can honestly say we were given the WOW EFFECT underlined and highlighted! Seeing as we'd like the same thing to happen to you, we're going to do our utmost to make this review as spoiler free as possible. Nonetheless, what we can do is give you our opinion regarding two of the most delightful protagonists we've meet in a long time, and whose story is told in first person present tense.“One day you’ll meet a guy who will change your mind about men, and when that happens I’m going to laugh, and gloat, and probably make a laughy-gloaty YouTube video to commemorate the occasion.”“Doubtful.”“Definitely.”Although Eden Tate is by no means your typical heroine, it's difficult not to like her. In fact, we became smitten with this strong stubborn young woman early on in the story. Saying that, we're absolutely sure this comment would peeve her off greatly since she's not one to go out of her way to impress others. She’s very comfortable in her own skin, not in the slightest bit pretentious, doesn't give a toss about fashion or being seen in the right places, and has no unrealistic expectations of the opposite sex. Her happy single and fancy free attitude was exactly what drew her to us. All she's interested in is getting the recognition she thinks she deserves from her not so nice boss. She loves her job, hates the assignments she's ordered to do and like most journalists, waiting for that big break.“You have twenty-four hours to secure an interview, or I’m telling payroll you don’t work here anymore. Got it?”We have to admit that we had our suspicions about one of the character's goings on early on in the book. We even thought the author was playing a mind game with us because it all seemed a tad easy to suss out. Ahh, but you see, nothing is what it seems. Leisa was cleverly fuelling our imagination and testing our patience by holding back a bomb that dropped in the most unlikely of places and we freaking well loved it!. And what is more, being on red alert alongside Eden wasn't enough. First confusion kicked in and then the realisation left us all dumbfounded. This whole scenario and many more to come were so vividly illustrated, we could see them playing out in our heads.“...Eyes speak truths mouths refuse to, and liars always find a reason to glance away.”Mister Romance! Now here's a guy who literally charmed the pants off us. . . no pun intended! And not only can he multitask (oops, a rarity in the male species), but also changes his multifaceted persona like a chameleon changes its colours. Sounds confusing, doesn't it? Imagine the man of your dreams whose role-playing skills satisfy your innermost desires! Of course, to make things more interesting, strings are attached. Max Riley’s got secrets. Secrets which could cause a scandal or three! And Eden’s dead set on finding out every little one of them. What she wasn't banking on was getting to know the real man beneath his façade. What we weren't banking on was him! Max is complicated, gorgeous, mysterious and in part, we blame him for us not being able to put the book down.“Out of all the ladies I know, I find you the most ... interesting.”“I’m not interesting at all. I’m a simple creature with simple needs.”This full-length novel merits reiterating how much we adored it. The storyline per se, is excellently executed, creative and super sexy. The characters; secondary ones included, are stunning. We have no intentions of letting on whose turn it is next in the follow-up because we'd really love you to take a chance on Mister Romance. Ms Rayven, bravo!

►►► I just read the most amazing & beautiful & funny & heartwarming lovestory!
Eden is working in her dream job as a journalist. Only it's not her dream job writing stupid click-bait articles for her idiot boss. She wants to write important things! Her boss is this close to firing her, when something her sister Asha said sparks an idea. There's supposedly a guy in NYC working as some kind of escort, swindling the social elite out of their 'hard-earned' money. People call him Mister Romance, because he fulfills romantic fantasies. And Eden wants to write about this guy! How can one single guy have all of Manhattan go crazy about him, without even offering sex? And how can she get close to him, when one has to fill out a 12-page questionaire and pay 5k for one date? But of course our Mister Romance is already a few steps ahead of Eden..... ☺WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO EDEN & MAX? WILL WE GET A HAPPILY EVER AFTER? READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺►►► #MyThoughts ◄◄◄After reading the blurb, I was sooo beyond happy that this wasn't one of those clichéd stories about a journalist writing an exposé article about our hero. You know the ones I mean? She'll write a mean article and keeps it all a secret and then he finds out, they fight and break up and bla bla bla. Nope! It was done sooo much better here. Max knows right from the start who Eden is. She didn't tell him, of course, she wanted to do it all in secret, but not with our Max! ☺☺☺ LOL! I just loved that.I basically loved every little thing about this book.Eden is your typical cynical, non-romantic girl. She only has one-night stands. Doesn't believe in, aka, is scared of love and marriage. The total opposite of her adorable little sister Asha! I hope we'll get to hear her story too one day!Max.I LOVED HIM! He's so mysterious and interesting and sweet and kind and hot and ...We don't really know if he's the most talented actor in the world, or if he's a bit of a schizophrenic, multi-personality-disorder-sufferer. But we love him. He knows his business! The man is worth every cent those ladies pay him - and they don't even get any sex!!I fell in love with all sides of Max. I want to live in a ménage â Max fantasy world! ☺Of course there's a lot of mystery surrounding our darling Max.Where did he come from? What about his family? What about his past? Did he go to college to learn a real job? How did he get started as an elite escort? Is everything he does legal? So many questions. And so many hopes for our adorable Eden .... we hope all through the book that she'll get her happily ever after with Max. Even though she doesn't believe in such things. But Max is showing her what could be.Just perfect!►►► MISTER ROMANCE was the most amazing & beautiful & funny & heartwarming lovestory! I don't have any words to describe why it's worth reading ... just .... run to your nearest amazon for your own Mister Romance - you won't regret it - also - THIS ONE IS MINE!!!!! ◄◄◄If I had to name some tiny little things that bothered me? Maybe the overuse of the word AS. People who know me, or rather, know my Sawyer Bennett reviews, know that I have a huge AS problem. With Sawyer it's those AS's that could and should be exchanged by a since or a because. With Leisa it's the AS that could and should be exchanged for a while or when or a differently built sentence. In Leisa's case, she uses it because she's from Australia. And I don't really know why I hate that word so much. I don't hate it in its normal use like ... AS GOOD AS IT GETS. But as soon as an author uses it in other scenarios, I start to hate. And I'm sorry for that. I hate myself for it too. Because I have no idea why I hate it so much. But I do. It will NOT bother any other reader, just me, so please forget what I just said. You won't even notice it! Well, maybe you will now, but usually I'm the only weird person who does.Another thing... I missed the sexiness a bit. I don't know why, but I expected something sexier. We have this mega-sparkage and romance all through the book - and I loved that. But the real sexiness is missing a bit. Which doesn't make the book bad in any way - I still LOOOVED it. Just thought I should mention it!Now I can't wait for the second book in this amazing series!!!!!
