far superior medium than potting soil for corn plant (dracaena)
This is much better medium than potting solid for a corn plant (dracaena). Volcanic pumice allows air to get to roots. Corn plants don't need much water but with volcanic pumice is it virtually impossible to over water them--even if the roots are in water they will still get the air they need from air trapped in the pumice. This brand of pumice does not include any fertilizer so need to add small amounts of liquid plant food during growing season. You never need to replace pumice; it can be rinsed and reused indefinitely. More expensive than potting soil but well worth the investment. Have used it exclusively for a year now with multiple dracaenas and they love it.

Excellent planting medium for indoor plants
GREAT PRODUCT! Nice size pumice stone (1/4"+) with very little waste or sand. Purchasing in this volume is the most economical way to maximize your potting yield. This potting medium is excellent for transplanting indoor house plants. As learned on YouTube (Swedish Plant Guy), I created a self watering system using a solid container (no drain hole), microcloth strip and pumice stone. I have transplanted over 10 different houseplants into this medium and they are loving their new home. I water less often and sparingly so the water does overflow from hanging plants.

Good value for solid product
Good price for the quantity. Size of pieces as advertised (small). I’m just about to order more!

Way better than perlite
I really love this product to make my own potting soil. Great value for what you get and it’s so much better than perlite. I grow mostly aroids so I use this along with bark, charcoal (sometimes), and regular store bought soil.

A little pricey, but excellent quality
Because I grow a lot of cacti and succulents in humid South Florida, soil amendments are essential. Otherwise the desert loving plants just melt away from fungus and rot in our dripping wet summers. I use pumice as an additive to potting soil along with perlite and crushed charcoal to make sure the soil is lightweight and fast draining to give the succulents a fighting chance. Actually we even use these additives in our regular potting soil too, just in smaller amounts. Even for plants accustomed to humid jungle floors, the addition of minimal amounts of pumice keeps the soil aerated and adequately drained. For some reason it's almost impossible to find this kind of product in the Miami area, so it has to be ordered from Amazon. Seems kind of crazy to have this shipped literally across the country (from Oregon) but that's a better alternative than having all of my rare succulents melt into stinky goo! This is the best quality pumice that I've used. Highly recommend.

Excellent!!
This product is excellent for Lithops & succulents! I have purchased this product several times and I am always pleased each time! It is by far the best product for the price! It does need to be mix with sand & organic dirt for Lithops & succulents. But is far cheaper then the pre mixed product.

Love this so much I'm ordering supersacks!
Those of us with heavy clay soil are constantly being told to add compost. Compost does little to improve soil texture. Leaf mold and pumice completely changed my heavy clay nightmare garden. I need a truck load more of each but PUMICE is a strong part of the answer and we are growing for market sales.

Whatever
A lot of it is almost dust. Guess it was advertised as 3/8s - fines (if you read the Q&A) just was hoping for more rocks, less dust. Also theres definitely bark or something in here, and some of the pumice is definitely orange despite the company being weird and acting like it isnt. Read other reviews before making your decision on this purchase because theyre right. Wont be buying from this company again but if you need some cheap rocks and dust shipped for decorative purpose i guess this works
