Bought this because I don't like receiver mounted shell carriers and I prefer to have a pouch on the buttstock instead of 5-6 shell slots. Takes a little finicking to get it right, but it does seem to hold securely. Pic below is mounted to a Magpul SGA stock, in case anyone was curious if it fits that.There are two cloth shell carriers - one for 12 gauge and one for 5.56 or 7.62. Either can be attached via Velcro inside or outside the pouch (or one of each on both). Although if you fill up the pouch, using the shell carrier externally causes it to stick out too far for my comfort, so I really just use it for the pouch. For reference, the inside of the pouch seems to fit about a dozen 12 gauge shells. The only minor complaint is that the Velcro is not the best quality (ie when you pull the straps to attach it, pulling it too hard can detach the other side's Velcro). Not a huge deal though, especially for the price. Overall I'm happy and would trust this product. Will update if anything changes.

I bought two of these, the design is okay, "BUT" they are too small to fit any of my rifle stocks. I made them work by buying some long Velcro strips and using them.

It's tough to get the shells out, requires practice but it seems well made.
