good book by Graham Blackburn

Great book very reasonably priced and it’s very understandable.

I have several furniture woodworking books that only manage to allude about proportions and "orders of architecture"....this one explains what they are, demonstrates how to do, and why they work. Also, the book has beautiful line drawings by Blackburn. Worth it just for those. In the project sections it also gives design tips for proportions of the furniture. For example, it talks about why and how drawers in a chest are proportioned. It talks about various styles of furniture and their design elements such as Victorian, Arts & Craft, 17th Century, and contemporary. A good reference ... a good book to contemplate with.

I really like the book, it was worth buying. Classic carpentry work with detailed descriptions and useful instructions for implementation of the projects in the book.
