This holster fits a Glock 42 beautifully well. No break-in required, it slips right in and is sufficiently snug. I was delighted the moment I opened the package up and inserted my gun in it. I've worn it several times since receiving it a couple of weeks ago inside my waistband both while wearing shorts or jeans with a belt and it is so comfortable, I sometimes forget I'm even wearing. The extra bit of material extending just beyond the slide keeps the gun metal off your skin. This feature is also slightly formed in the manufacturing process so that it bends slightly away from your body and keeps the gun stable - very nice touch of quality. I also wore it outside doing yardwork getting sweaty and had zero trouble with it or any color transfer to my skin. The materials and workmanship are high quality. The leather pattern is cut well and the stitching is flawless was done using a robust sized thread - not too thin and not too heavy. The belt clip is good and stiff and is made to last. Nice and simple design too. It is well worth the price and I have no regrets or anything negative to say about it. I would recommend this holster to anyone looking for a high quality leather IWB to fit a Glock 42.

Feels sturdy. Leather is thick.

Good value for the price. Heavy duty leather, for those of us who prefer leather over kydex. Fits several different models, just follow easy directions if it’s tight. Mine confirmed overnight. It’s leather, so the older it gets, the softer it’ll get.

Great holster. Bought it hoping I could use it for a s&w shield 40. Retention is a little tight for the shield it will break in and fit nicely though. Retention is a tad loose on a glock 42...let's be honest though it wasnt designed to fit a 42 or a shield. With that being said. 10 out of 10 would def holster my shield again.Also the clip to hold to your belt is tight fitting in the holster and works very well. When put into your belt or pants it feels secure and isnt moving around.

I don't know it was a gift for somebody else

This is my 3rd 1791 holster. The other 2 were the soft and flexible kind. Thought I’d try this rigid one to see if a leather IWB holster could be easier to reholster. It’s not bad at all. Of course you know a kydex IWB holster will almost always be easier to reholster, but this is not bad at all. And it’s 10 times more comfortable. I use the bag it came in to wrap the gun for break in. I’d buy it again!

I think a lot of these reviews on this holster is misleading, they advertise this holster to fit the Glock 43. I tried everything to carefully stretch the holster and it is impossible. This holster will not fit the Glock 43 or 43X. If you’re buying this holster for the Glock 43 or 43X do not it will be a waste of time and money. It is only built for smaller guns, Not the Glock 43. I’ve bought many hostess from this company, but this time I am totally disappointed and that’s all it takes not to purchase again. If I could have given this holster zero stars I would have.

The quality is amazing. The leather is thick, it smells great. The stitching is perfect.. this ain’t no Chinese knock-off.. this thing will stand the test of time and it looks like it’ll wear nicely. I’m using it for a Sig P365. It was really snug initially but after following the detailed wear-in instructions.. it’s perfect. The instructions worked like a charm. The leather is really smooth and doesn’t bother your skin, a.k.a. my 4 o’clock. FYI, the holster isn’t thin, it’s bulky but it’s very functional and comfortable.
