These were easy to assemble and look great - they seem pretty comparable to planters at the garden store that are significantly more expense.

The first one I received was in good condition. For the price, I did not expect the wood to be pre-sanded nor did I expect the panels to be perfectly aligned and such. I was not surprised to find several rough patches, knots and splinters. However, my 2nd order of this item was disappointing. As I began to sand, I discovered that 2 of the panels were broken. Worse, when I went to exchange the item at Amazon, I was told that it would be nearly a week before my replacement planter would arrive. That's another week that my project must wait. And I can only hope that the replacement planter is in good condition. In sum, I like the planter but recommend better quality control.Update: Well, the latest planter I received had large split pieces of wood on two panels. No amount of primer and paint can protect those splits from breaking once the planter is placed outdoors. So, another one of these disappointing planters goes back to the manufacturer. And it seems my project may never be completed.Summary: I originally thought this item was well priced. However, when I factor in all the wasted time just trying to get panels that are not too broken, I do not consider this a good buy and am taking another star.

Great value

I order frequently from Amazon and I am usually very satisfied with my purchases. This plantar box was delivered in pieces and requires construction. This was not mentioned in the product description. The wood is so thin and of such poor quality, I doubt it will last two or three years. There is no coating on the wood. I wish I could rate it "no stars". I would return it if I was physically able to do so.

We bought X2 of these based on the measurements provided and when received, they were at least TWICE as big. We only ended up using one and gifting the other. If using as a planter box, you will need to line. Assembly is a snap, just make sure all pieces are the correct way up. Lastly, we waxed the planter and it looks smeg!!
