Disappointing purchase
Having decided to replace our 15 year old NR full length awning with a smaller one we chose the ontario as it appeared to offer a smaller compact model that would suit our needs. Unfortunately It has been very disappointing purchase and we certainly would not recommend this particular model. The awning would not align to the caravan leaving a large gap. and leaked at the first rain. The rain would not run off leaving pools generating at the top. The vertical poles were pointed (as opposed to the horizontal poles where the ends were flattened to fit in the casing) which ran the risk of puncturing the top of the awning. There is no comarison to our old NR awning of 15 years which was both robust and weather proof.

AWNING
First time used ended up blown over caravan roof with internal poles bent and broke. No confidence to use again but would have to buy new poles first.

This does what it says on the tin
I would have liked instructions on how to erect it., There is some answers needed on the rear poles as they do dot have the correct ends.

Cheap Rubbish
We have the 390 version. It's fine if you tour a country that has no wind or rain. The second time we had our awning up a pole broke when we tried to put it up with a little bit of wind blowing. Eventually after a years use ( approx 10 times putting up ) the awning is finally beyond repair. We've fixed it too many times. Time for a better awning.

My friend ordered this and I agreed to erect this. Firstly it lacked good instructions, the fibre glass poles were easy to erect but you need a lot of strength the put the metal pegs in the bottom of the fibre glass poles. After that there was a problem with the metal poles, again NO clear instructions, guess work, We guessed that the the 2 metal poles inside the awning that run the length of them both had flat ends to fit into a little pocket, great. But then that left us with 2 metal poles, one end each had a spike - this meant that the spiky end going into the little pockets this in time would make a hole ? The design was bad, we were unable to get get the awning to fit tightly against the side of the caravan and any strong wind will certainly take this light weight porch awning off !! For the amount you pay please explore better, stronger options.

Great water tight porch awning with fab headroom
Just using this for the first time during May half term in Wales. We've had rain and shine and it's been perfect. The instructions could do with pictures but we erected it in 20 mins as I'd seen it on display in camp shop. The rear poles do have a spike on them like you'd use to go through a reinforced hole on a canopy but we worked out the spike was to go into the ground to position the pole flush with the caravan. Like I say we've had a lot of rain and no leaks at all. The two doors have insect meshes which is great for sitting out in the evenings. Comes with x3 guy ropes. I reckon I could construct in 10 to 15 mins next time. For the price it's great with very good head room. I have a Bailey Pegasus and no height or length issues.
