The dayan drum had a terrible buzz. The Syahi (black spot) upon further inspection was cracking and had lose pieces of the Syahi rattling. This is an indication of age. I imagine these have been warehoused for several years. The leather tension straps were dried out and brittle so bad that they were like hard raw hide dog bones. I could have the Syahi repaired but for nearly $400 I expected qaulty drums. Maybe I got the bad luck of the draw. Other than the conditions of the drums they seemed to be well made. But not worth the high price.
