Diane 1907 Metallic Wide Bobby Pins, 4 Pack (4 Count, Unisex, Adults)

These are great as a less obvious alternative to clips or combs. They hold at least as well, and they’re very strong. They also come on a nice leather holder which holds tightly enough that you could drop it in your purse, and they would all stay on the holder! I got them in blonde, and they match my hair well. Not a bad thing about them! Highly recommended!

They hold well, and the top is nicely flat and wide for anyone wanting to glue things to them for crafty hairpiece creations. The color does however seem to chip a bit with wear to reveal the metal underneath, so keep that in mind I suppose.

These pins are simple and nice-looking. They hold my hair well enough but they're not too grabby. I haven't had a problem at all with them tearing my hair or being hard to take out--other pins I've bought, yes, but not these. I'm satisfied.

Purchase date: April 20, 2024. Photos of bobby pins are after owning for 3 months.These bobby pins are thicker, heavier and tighter to open than typical old-fashioned bobby pins, so this alone can tear at your hair unless you open them slightly to release them out of your hair.Next, these are advertised as one pack (6 count). I telephoned amazon regarding this after receiving only 4 bobby pins in the package and the customer service representative kindly refunded me $3.00 to my Amazon account as a courtesy. The rep. did say that they (Amazon, I presume) would follow-up with this discrepancy in the description and have it changed. So far, 3 months later, nothing in the description has been changed or corrected.Finally, the above two issues are minor in comparison to the fact that these bobby pins chip badly. The paint coating over the metal has chipped, flaked and peeled away. These 4 bobby pins have not been used daily and have been stored in a little metal tin for safe keeping and traveling.I’m not sure for the little bit of money these cost if this review matters all that much. However, if you are looking for quality hair accessories or everyday items for hair styling, then perhaps these bobby pins are not your best choice.

I really like these Bobby puns but the second time I ordered them they went the wrong colors. I ordered blonde again (they’re fantastic and hold so well!) and got 5 packs of mixed meatballs- copper, gold, silver and black.

I've tried all sorts of barrettes, combs, pins to keep my hair pulled out of my face and they all have failed. They either fell out, pulled my hair to the hurting degree, or just weren't strong enough to keep all the hair off my face and I do hate it when I have hair dangling when I'm trying to do something and my hands are too yucky to brush the hair away, and I don't want to keep brushing and brushing the stuff every 3 seconds. These are wide enough to hold my hair but I end up using 5 or 6 of them to keep all the little bits from rubbing my neck and face and ears at night. I find that the painted ones (black & brown) tend to have rough spots where the paint isn't even, and over time a little paint chips off making the pin rip out a strand or two of hair when I pull them off (and I can't afford to lose too much more hair). But they are the best I can find to use on my hair. I do not get them wet because I'm not sure how good they are against rust; I switch to those beauty salon-type alligator clips when I step into the shower or to pin my hair up so it doesn't drip on me (I've never used a hair dryer).

Use them for securing a wig around the ear tabs. They’re ok?! Not wonderful. But work as well as Regular heavier bobby pins if not a little bit better
