DIRTYRAGZMen's Hunter S. Thompson Sheriff Gonzo T Shirt

I would have given this 5 stars if the material had been a little softer but compared to many tees I have ordered off Amazon it wasn't too bad. Wish they had come in women's styles. I got one for hubby and one for myself, I being the retired photojournalist in the family. Every journalist needs a Gonzo tee. Hubby's fit as expected - mine fit as expected for a man's style. A little long for me but I can live with it.

The shirt isn't that olive green as depicted in the image. It's a lighter shade but it still looks good.

I have been remiss and didn't pick it up yet.I will give it to my so, a Hunter fan (29-years old).Back in La Jolla I read some Hunter to a woman, and when she asked the author, and she snatched the book and exclaimed, "He really does write then!" It was "Curse of Lono".So Claudia was working cocktailing at the Chart House in Aspen, met and got along well with him, and actually lived at his Owl Farm for nearly a year. Too weird a tale to make it up. As time went on, Claudia moved back to La Jolla, and Hunter used to visit.The day was set to meet he and she, but all was ruined as Claudia, a really beautiful gal, got in a fender bender, drunk. Hunter actually took a cab from a Marriott in Mission Valley, all the way to the women's jail....Very far away, bailed her out.So I never mat him that time.Another time I saw him at the Buena Vista over looking the Bay in San Francisco. He had tennis shorts and a cap and a pricey gold silk jacket from Caesar's Palace in Vegas. Well it was packed and he ran downstairs by the Entry to use the Men's, and my plan was to ambush him when he came back, but he ran outside before I could chat..Oh well.Oh, and this book by Russo, about the Italian Mafia in Chicago, and a very good read. It is called "The Outfit" there, and literally runs everything west of Chicago. Amazing stuff, and accommodation made for New York's Casinos in Vegas.

Graphics still intact after several washings and quality cotton material. Very Comfy.

Runs small and shrinks

As a longtime fan of Dr Thompson, I was excited to get this shirt. It's hard to find merch related to HST, and most of what is available is 'fear & loathing' related. I must say, HST is one of my heroes, and I've been a fan for over 30years (I started reading his work very young) the shirt is very well made, on a thick nice shirt. I expect it to last a very long time. I never put anything with a design like this in the dryer, and only wash in cold water. So far, it still looks brand new and I wear it often. Very cool.

Purchased this shirt for son-in-law for stocking stuffer. The size large was a little too snug (he's tall ) so I quickly ordered the XL which was delivered so quickly -- I was amazed! They were visiting us for Christmas from out of the country so it was great that he got to take it home . A true Fan of the Doctor, my daughter reports that he "wears it all the time - high praise!"
