Can this be safely fed to livestock?

Kelp (and all seaweed) contains iodine, and naturally occurring arsenic. Too much iodine causes thyroid disease. We all know what too much arsenic causes. The question is: how much is safe? See if the package says anything about iodine or arsenic. I think Amazon deletes references to websites, but I found a good article about kelp & dogs (how different can chickens be?) at DrFoxvet(dot)com, enter "kelp" in the search box. can this be fed to my chickens?

Yes. I gave some crab shells to my friend that gave me organic chicken doo. Crab shells have chitons, that eliminate nematodes. ANYTHING from the ocean is healthy, organic and safe for gardens, animals and people. Even though I am not fond of fish; but I'll but it in my garden! I did give these chickens some seaweed from ocean, but they weren't interested. I would not chose products from a bay that is polluted. Don't be afraid the salt will kill your plants. I've taken seaweed from ocean and put in garden, just not touching plants. My garden has NEVER been so tastee, bug free and disease resistant. The rains were terrible this year in my peach trees. Every leaf was covered with curl. So I made up composted chicken doo, fish meal, rock dust, crab shell, EM(microbe maker), and molasses. Every single peach leaf curl leaves died. The curled leaves were replaced by new growth. VERY LITTLE curl. THATS WHY I USE SEA PRODUCTS. I also put the mixture around a cherry tree with canker 2 years in a row; canker is smaller. The cherries on tree are not dark spotted, or not edible. Remember, when our world was created, we were to live forever, healthy and happy. Jehovah God made the sea to feed the earth. It works, it works and there is NO question! You will not be disappointed. Be careful and read directions on container. Too much will kill plants. Also remember, our soils are depleted of nutrients, so go slow and follow directions. After spraying follarly, I can see the difference in 24 hours. I love it.I have a garden of mostly berries. Strawberries, black, boysen, Marion, tay and Logan. Usually, I have a problem with white flies and those green flying bugs that suck juice from berries. Not since I been using the sea products. There is so many micro nutrients in each, your plants will be a richer green. You will have VERY FEW bugs and you will look forward to growing something new! GUARANTEED! Each year, I'm anxious to try sonthing new.

What does 1-0-2 mean?

The three numbers refer to the amount or percentage of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium in the meal. In this case there is 1 percent nitrogen and 2 percent potassium with no phosphorous.

Is this water soluble???

No it is not. This is a product that will have some longevity in the soil as it breaks down. I really like it!

Our goats like it!

Tried to order Thorvin kelp for livestock but it would not ship to our address; this one did. It arrived quickly and our goats really like it. We'll also use it for the zoysia grass around the turtle enclosure. Glad I found this.
