High waist is a compression control top
Overall I like them. A couple things you might want to know before you buy them.They fit great and feel comfortable assuming you don't buy them too small1. They are more than just high waisted. The waist, above the seam, is literally a compression (Spanx type) control top.2. They are definitely not squat proof.

These pants come very, very small, I ordered a XXL or the biggest size and I can barely get into them as I am a regular size 12 jeans 👖 these just run small
