Q: What shape is this table? Description states round but from the pictures it looks more rectangle.

Your right it's more rectangular but the sides are rounded.. would highly recommend it

Q: Is there enough leg room under the table to cross your legs?

I am 5ft 1in and i cannot cross my legs under the table. It would probably depend on how high you have the table. It has 4 slots underneath and I have mine on the 3rd slot

Q: How does the trigger mechanism, work? There seems to be a locking button, but when I press it the trigger still doesn't pull

There is a trigger like lever that you pull in towards the middle of the table. Mine is stiff, and I have to pull quite hard, but it does work. Kind regards.
