does not hold up to heat at all this might have a leather core, but, when i used it to wrap around a steam wand it melted. granted the seller did not say that it was good for this, but since even the lowest grade of genuine leather doesn't tend to melt i do believe this cord is made of a synthetic leather.I suppose i can give it to someone for making bracelets and things.

I'm disappointed that it looks and feels like plastic and it looks nothing like the picture. I thought it would be thicker. I would not recommend.

Not leather cord..more like leather fishing line..doesn't come on a spool as AMAZON ad shows..someone wrapped the thread around their finger and threw it in a plastic bag..

Not sure sure its actual leather. Product is a 1.5 mm round cord - picture is misleading, cord is thing. Technically got what I ordered, just didn't connect the text to reality because of the picture. Oddly elastic for genuine leather.

Strong light colored cord. Smaller than I expected, but very strong. Will be used for saddlebag stitching.

This is a huge disappointment. The picture is very deceiving. I was expecting what was pictured. I got almost every color too. Now i know why it was so cheap.
