GET THE BIGGER ONE #3
Get the bigger one #3 unless you’re number twos are rabbit sized in witch case get the smaller #2 size because you’re probably not built to carry the extra 10 grams in wieght.

Usable in soft soil only
It is a good idea but is crippled by a sharp edge on the handle, which prevents much force being applied. They should have at least bent over that end to make it round. I modified it by gluing (with epoxy) a piece of 10mm diameter aluminium rod to that end, just to make the end round. The rod had a groove cut into it lengthwise. This is beyond most people however.Even with the mod, digging a hole where there is grass is really borderline, in how much force is needed.

It's not for digging a trench!
It's light. The compromise to any ultralight kit is strength. You can only use it carefully and you can't lever it as per its enclosed instructions. It was exactly what I wanted though and I only ever plop in a hole if I absolutely have to!! So when I use it for real I will be careful not to bend it.

Useless in UK hills
Might be handy if you're camping on the beach, but there is no way this will cut through the kind of turfy, heathery landscape I tend to poo in

Worth the investment
Bought size #2 which is just big enough for what it needs to be used for, for my larger hands. Tested out in the hills on some thick, tussocky grass. Performed well but not effortlessly. I've got every confidence that this will be excellent in less tough vegetation and looser soil.

Lightweight Turd Shovel
Extremely light. In your backpack a turd shovel isn't really something you want weighing you down. It's an essential, but an annoying few extra grams.4* only because it is expensive, although with 'ultralight' you expect that.

Ridiculously light but not perfect
My attempt at ultralight bike packing kit, it is light but struggles with sun baked ground and digs into the hand a bit as you dig down. Wanted to love it, still kind of like it.

Seems great
I haven't actually used it yet, but I can tell you, it sure is lightweight! And it seems really strong, so I'm guessing it will be fine out in the woods, used for its intended purpose.
