Good Night North Carolina (Good Night Our World)

Living in NC, I give this darling little book to all expectant mothers, NC or wherever. It captures so much of the state.

Thought this book was cute.. however, I was a little confused with the printing error featuring Montana as the state for a couple of pages.

We received Good Night Maryland for our son when he was born since that is where we currently live and it is where both him and my wife were born. I was born in NC and my parents still live there, so we thought this would be a good addition to our library since he likes the Maryland version so much. We've had the book for about a month and he loves it! He picks it out for us to read to him frequently. The book is short without being too short and the illustrations are interesting.My only complaints about the book are that the North Carolina version seems more generic than the Maryland one. A number of the pages seem like they could pertain to a dozen different states instead of just NC. I didn't really feel that way about the Maryland version. If we hadn't had the Maryland book first, it's possible I wouldn't feel this way.

I love all of these good night boooks! Truth be told I am more of a fiction lover, but that is one reason I appreciate these books so much. I have 2 young granddaughters and they are great conversation starters for awareness of the world around us! I buy one for every state that I work in (road warrior) and try to get photos near some of the landmarks in the book, and we have great fun talking about it!

So cute. I have the Maryland one and just got the NC one for my sister. These are the cutest baby shower gifts because they are personalized for the mama's state. Especially if the family has several states they call home, get several! They go through the big land marks in the state so they will work no matter where you live in that state.

We have two other editions of this series. We bought this one because we were going on vacation there and we have family there. We also bought one as a gift for our family. It's become an instant hit for all of us. Very nostalgic and cute. I would definitely recommend for those with little ones who live in North Carolina or are visiting or have family there, or just like it!

We had originally gotten the RI version of this book and the kids loved it so much we looked for the NC version since we live in NC. My kids are 2 and 5, they love the colors, illustrations and reading along. They want to visit everywhere in the book and take pictures of themselves similar to how the kids are in the book. We are very pleased with this book and read it nightly.

I bought for a friends babyshower that lives out of town. I figured it would be a cute book to have in the library from another state.
