I bought this book for my parents, who recently Got a silky chicken. We’ve raised chickens for a while now, but this Soke was nothing like what we had before. This book answered so many different questions that we had, and also helped us understand certain characteristics that our chicken had. To this day I don’t know what we deal without this book.

Did not have pictures in it.

I bought this as a gift for a friend who was toying with the idea of get a silkie for a pet. It was highly informative, but very VERY dry with a noisy layout and very few images. So it wasn't a fun read. More for the serious farmer turned pet lover I think,

Absolutely a great book for those who are considering getting Silkies or are new to raising them. I learned a lot about taking care of them that I did not know before getting this book. A must for Silkie owners.

Very informational,great reading.

This book offers little to no detailed information on silkies that cannot be found in any basic guide to any breed of chicken. I was severely disappointed and the very generic information offered.

My daughter loved the information, but was quite dissatisfied with the lack of color photographs. She will use this as she obtains her own Silkies and takes care of them.
