awesome learning tool
The book is very helpful with teaching the sight words. It is fun and has great activities to do. It also works for writing practice, spelling and reading. I highly recommend this book to help your child with sight words and using them, spelling them and reading them. My daughter loves it. She has Down Syndrome and is not at her age level for academics, so this book is probably more for 7 -10 year olds, than my 15 year old daughter.

Fantastic for budding readers and writers!
Great book! I just got it for my almost 5 year old and he really enjoys the exercises. I love that there is a huge variety of activities to reinforce the words, not like some other books (*cough* Kumon *cough*) that have the same exact exercises pretty much every page, thus making the book too boring and repetitive to remember or even bother with.My son is very interested in letters but not terribly great with phonics (he gives up VERY easily) and so I was struggling to help him start to read, which he very desperately wants to do but I didn't know how to really begin. This book is the great start I was looking for, especially since it's all about sight words and NOT phonics, which so far has got us nowhere. We are working on 2 words a day and we've just started, but already my son is really thrilled that he is starting to recognize words when we read books (as soon as we finished our two words, we find a book with the words and he has to pick them off the page). It has some writing practice (they trace the word, then right it on lines 4 times, then write it again free hand), which I love, especially since it's not so much that it's overwhelming to new writers but not so little that they forget about it 3 minutes later. I'm so glad we got this!

Worth my purchase
I bought 3 large sight word books. This is the only one with color, which makes it inviting to kids. It covers each sight word individually, two single pages each. The first page has the child tracing the word once, then writing it five times, one of those is inserted into an existing sentence. The second page is taken up with one or two of a variety of activities. It doesn’t have as many different activities for each word as the other books, but I guess something had to go when adding color. This book also has a couple more things the other 2 work books don’t: an answer key and reviews after a few pages. My new copy did come with the front cover and first page damaged, but it doesn’t effect the important parts inside.

Just for my little guy!
This book has been amazing! Each day we work on a word, he remembers how to spell it weeks later still. It's not memorizing the words, it's seeing it used in different ways and that's how my little learns. We homeschool, so finding the right curriculum is essential. I'm hoping they have this style of learning in many other subjects!

Gread Addition to Classroom
As a homeschooling family, we appreciate the vivid colors in this workbook. The design of the book does a great job in breaking up the words into sections (we learn 5 new words a week), and has just the right amount of activities per word. There is also a review at the end of each section.

I love it!
I use to have just the "level 1" book when my boys were little. Now that my daughter is ready, I started looking for a sight words book and found this. I love it!!! 220 sight words that kids need to learn and easy to set up as a "complete a new word a day" lesson plan :)

Excellent book for learning sight words
The way the words are introduced, reinforced and then reviewed in sets of five is working well for my son. For each new word, child is asked to say the word aloud, trace it, then write it four times and finally write it as part of a sentence. Next, there are two fun puzzles around that word to reinforce learning. After five new words, there two pages of review of those words together. My son enjoys doing those reviews. They are challenging enough to give him a sense of accomplishment without overwhelming him.

Just the right amount of work for kindergarten
This is helpful for my kindergarten kid. It is not too many practice, that could make him frustrated and not too many big pictures that make mommy unhappy.
