4 STARS! Fun, sexy and light-hearted!
My second time reading Lila Monroe, and I really enjoyed Mr. Right Now. A quick and sexy read, if I’d had the time without interruptions, I could have easily read it in a single sitting. This book was low on drama and angst, and it was a light-hearted, entertaining and easy-to-read story. This is the kind of book I refer to as a hangover cure – the perfect story to cleanse a reader’s palate, so to speak, after finishing something heavy or emotional.Imagine your best friend’s big brother becomes the front man of a top boy band. Along with every other girl in the country, you are crushing on him hard. Unfortunately for Maggie, her best friend, McKenna, was none too thrilled about this crush, and they drifted apart. Twelve years later, Maggie finds herself back home in Philly, living at her parents’ house as she tries to regroup after her dream of her own bakery in New York crashes and burns in humiliating fashion. An embarrassing miscommunication with her first catering event back home lands Maggie in a frosting-covered mess of forty-inch phallic-shaped cake at the feet of her childhood crush, Drew. Their attraction was swift and as sweet as the sexy cakes she’s known for, and they positively sizzled together. No longer the infamous boy-band front man, Drew is also back home. He’s a producer now, and he’s happy being the guy behind the scenes, or at least he would be if one of his former bandmates would stop dragging him into his cheesy, fame-grabbing attempts to regain their former glory. Drew is immediately smitten with the grown-up version of his sister’s high-school bestie. He pursues her relentlessly, but in addition to figuring out her future, Maggie needs to decide if Drew is a dream-come-true or just a Mr. Right Now.Mr. Right Now was a lot of fun, filled with the kind of humor that kept a smile on my face. It was pretty steamy, and the romance was sweet as Drew went all out to convince Maggie he was more than his pop-star persona. All in all, I enjoyed this book—it was cute, charming and funny, and I would definitely read this author again. Lila Monroe’s Mr. Right Now gets four smooches from me!

A Rom-Com You Need Right Now!!
Lila Monroe is back with a fun, witty, sassy rom-com that will knock your socks off and wanting to rock out to your favorite boy bands.Maggie Hayes is back home after her business failed to regroup and come up with a plan to get her dreams back on track.Drew Delaney is back home making this is home base for his production company.A unlikely chance encounter brings these two former neighbors back together. Yet this time Drew sees Maggie is a whole different light.Maggie always though Drew was sexy and even crushed on him way back in the day, so finally getting to live out her deepest fantasy with Drew is like a dream come true. But just as their relationship heats up and possibly on the verge of something deeper, life throws a curve ball that could spell disaster for this couple. So will they part and think of this a brief fling? Or will they fight for what could be their forever love?Oh my goodness! I'm noting gonna lie, I always get excited when a Lila Monroe book lands on my ereader. So when I picked up Mr. Right-Now I did a little happy dance, grabbed a glass of wine, and settled down to get lost in Lila's words. And hours later with wine not drunk, my sides hurt from laughing, and in despite need of a cold shower (FYI ~ Drew is hot, hot, hot!), I am completely satisfied and head over heels in love with this book.I connected with Maggie and loved how feisty she is. She may be down on her luck, but she keeps her head held high and sets about finding a way to make her dreams come true once again. I thoroughly enjoyed her witty banter with Drew, her sister Lulu, and friend/Drew's sister McKenna. And the camo by Ruby was fun little tidbit.Drew is just down right yummy. He's got the looks for sure, but there's more to him than that. He's got a big heart that has been willing to help anyone in need. He loyal to those around him even if those people don't have his best interest at heart. Add in the fact that he's sweet (yes sweet!), funny, talented, and an all-around nice guy. Seriously, I dare you not to fall in love with him!Lila is a storyteller you know will deliver a story full of hilarity, heart, soul, and passion. And Mr. Right-Now has all that pack into a very sexy cover. So if you're looking for a read that will leave you satisfied and yearning for an alcohol infused cupcake, then I highly recommend you pick up Mr. Right-Now! Heck, even if you aren't one for an alcohol infused cupcake I'd still recommend you pick Mr. Right-Now. Either way, don't deny yourself from reading this rip-roaring book.

A LOL Read that you need to one-click
Mr. Right Now by Lila Monroe is a romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud and falling in love with Maggie and Drew!Down on her luck, Maggie is back home and trying to rebuild her life, and when she runs into her crush Drew (who is also an ex-boybander and the boy next door) in the most hilarious fashion, things quickly heat up between them. I adored watching the two of them build a relationship and the back and forth and all the tension between them. Drew and Maggie just have this spark between them that is undeniable.Drew is always trying to impress Maggie, but he quickly finds out that she's different than any girl he's ever met, and she's not impressed with the things he thinks she would be. She's down to earth, has a dirty mind, and just clicks with him. When they go out, things always get interrupted and always in the most spectacular fashion. I was laughing out loud during the police officer scene in this book and am laughing now as I write about it.Drew and Maggie's story is predictable, yet at the same time it's one that you can't help but want to read. I loved the characters and how the story flowed. These two were both stubborn, and had some communication problems, especially towards the end of the book that made me want to pull my hair out, but all in all this was a fabulous read that made me laugh, swoon, and made me blush a few times too. If you're looking for a quick hot read that will make you laugh out loud, definitely grab a copy of Mr. Right Now today!

4 Sweet and Sexy Stars
Lovely book! Drew is a former pop star - think Harry Styles in a few years time- who was hero worshipped worldwide in the halcyon glory days of boybandom a decade ago. He's now producing music in his hometown. Also back at home, but absolutely not by choice, is Maggie who was Drew's little sister's best friend for a while and a neighbour....and she's crushed on Drew since way before his fame days.Their paths collide as do their hearts and minds and these two are perfect for each other but new opportunities arise for both of them that challenge their fragile new love affair.Great characters - Maggie is hilarious and enchantingly self deprecating, Drew is fun and so sexy & sweet....swoonworthy for sure.

Oh how I laughed! It's taken me three days to finish this review because I don't think I can do it justice, this book is just SO GOOD! The thing is, I knew I could never go wrong with a Lila Monroe romance because they are often super fun, light hearted rom-com and her characters are full of sass, wit and are sexy as hell, BUT she has never created such a piece of Rom Com genius before... it really reads more like a movie script...Maggie has come home after closing her bakery in NYC, deflated and lost, in fact things are so bad she moves back in with her parents.'Mr. Right-Now' puts a twist on the teen crush, second chance trope. And let's face it, this isn't just any crush, Drew was the frontman of the boy band whose poster was on Maggie's bedroom ceiling, and he was literally the boy across the street and her best friend's older brother. "Drew Delaney. Ex-teen heartthrob. Former boy-band megastar . And oh, yeah: the boy next door . " The band's biggest hit? Mr. Right-Now.Drew Delaney is now a music producer living back in his home town, and couldn't be happier. Enter Maggie and his life definitely takes a fun, crazy turn. He may have known Maggie since before his big music break but getting to know Maggie as an adult is a trip!!Lila Monroe perfectly tapped into every girl's fantasies with a few funny interruptions to Maggie and Drew's first few dates. The sexual tension between the two lead up to an explosive moment when they finally get it on which is highly, highly memorable!!Crystal's Book World Blog sums it up best..."If you are having a bad day, or even a bad week, all you have to do is pick up one of her Romantic Comedy books and you will forget all of your worries. Mr. Right-Now is hilarious and sexy all rolled into one." #Perfect!

A new favourite!!!!!
WOWZA!!!! Lila Monroe, this is hands down my favourite out of all your books!!! MR RIGHT-NOW was the perfect combination of a sweet and sexy love story, packed with ALL THE FEELS!!!! It is the kind of story that had me swooning from the very first page; gave me a permanent lovesick grin; and had my heart a-fluttering!!!From their very first chance reunion, Drew and Maggie had this undeniable chemistry that sizzled right throughout!!! I absolutely crushed on Drew - what girl wouldn't? He was SO SO SOOOO swooony!!!!!! And I loved Maggie - she was super cute and very likeable!!!I felt so drawn to this story because this book captured so perfectly what every teenage girl (myself included) fantasised about - their boy band crush actually reciprocating their feelings!! Ms. Monroe's narrative was so witty, addictive and really tapped into my emotions!!! I felt like I was watching one of those classic movies like Sixteen Candles where each scene just made my heart swoon and some parts where my heart actually ached that I had to rub at that spot on my chest to ease it!! In a nutshell, this book was fun, sexy, sweet and swoony!!!!! 5 "Mr Forever " stars!!!
