Good all around tire.
This is a great tire for trail riders that ride to the park. These are great on pavement, roll easy and smooth. I can lean the bike in a corner no issues. The trails I ride are mostly hard pack with loose rocks around. These cross kings have surprisingly good grip in the trails. The tread wears slowly on the street so these tires can last longer than others I tried. There are better tires for off road but for someone who rides both these are really great. I’ve bought 3 now.

Nice, difficult to get an aligned seat, use soapy water & take them to 41psi if warbly on the rim
Seems like a decent tire the Trail King 29er, couldn't afford another Mountain King this time around. Good tread for front, real nightmare to mount this tire. It is a nice tire but, took me over 4 hours of constant work, the tire would seal nicely but appeared deformed, re-seated many many times, at length I used soapy water on the rim and inflated to 41 psi, after a few more tries eventually the tire sorted out. Pumping up a MTB tire 20 times in one night is a bit much. If I had thought to use soapy water firstly... My Maxxis Aggressor was one & done, same rim no issues whatsoever with mounting or seating. The Continental has excellent seal and looks really good on the bike. The writing on the tire is all silver. It came cable tied which might have contributed to the difficulty mounting the tire though I gave it 2 days open and never had this sort of tire mounting issue before with a modern MTB tire so, gotta tell ya that was a disappointment. Really a wonderful thing though, new rubber. if I were a bike pro mechanic I would have gotten it right the first time. I used 100ml of sealant, we will see how it does. WTB which doesn't run well through thin injectors.

Really impressed
Wow these cross king 2.3 tires are awesome. I've had Maxxis in the past but I'd never pay twice as much for those again. These tires have a grippy rubber compound and roll fast. Tons of grip pedaling uphill and in tight corners. Ignore the bad reviews about the tires not sitting true, those guys aren't mounting them correctly. Since they're tubeless ready, they fit tight and need high pressure and attention to seat the bead until they stretch out a bit. They're straight and true high quality tires.

Continental 29er mountain bike tires
Continental and Maxxis make the best bike tires, period. I also own and use 700x25 Continental Grand Prix 5000's and Continental Gatorskins tires on road bikes.... awesome bike tires. The Race King tires are perfect for my 29er, hard tail mountain bike. Race King tread is ideal for hard pack gravel or dirt on rail trails. Race Kings are also much faster than typical knobby mountain bike tires on asphalt and concrete. These tires would probably not be ideal for single track style mountain bike riding, but are perfect for cross country gravel riding and rail trails. Race Kings are easy to install. I use these tires with tubes, but Race Kings can run tubeless. Highly recommended for 29er mountain bikes. A+

Commuters and road bikers must have
I used these with standard tubes. They grip the road like duct tape on a sweater. Glides turns, grips corners, it's a dream. Worth the price. They come packed folded, not too difficult, just pinch it back into shape.I recommend highly that you partly inflate your tubes before installation, because these tires are soft and flexible and will bead different than normal tires. If you slip one ring on, tuck it, then go all the way around with a tool running the bead in, or by hand if you're stronger, pull it all the way around. Simple enough.I will detail the pros and cons based on my experience in the past month+ of use.Pros: grippy, handles cement, dominates asphalt, manages dirt and rock flatground and trail(poorly, but acceptably considering it's specifically made for pavement), quiet on road,No detectable performance lost in torrential rain or wet conditions, sets up easily, seems to hold air in tubes better, good value.**Disclaimer: bearing in mind that these are specifically designated for road use and using products against manufacturer recommendation isn't advisable**Cons/risks: not suitable for dirt and rock, unacceptably damaged by rock/Rocky soil, abrasive terrain of any kind is 1.5x damaging compared to Kenda standard tires. All things considered, you get exactly what you pay for, exactly what they say it does, all for a reasonable value.
