Impressed!
I’ve owned and used several pocket knives over the years, from cheap convenience store knives to mid grade brands like Gerber, to upper crust brands like Spyderco and Benchmade, and they must say that I am thoroughly impressed with this Kizer! For a hair over sixty bucks, what you get is excellent craftsmanship, great VG-10 steel, grippy G-10 handle scales with an almost carbon fiber pattern, and stainless liners. Everything about this knife is oozing quality, it looks and feels like a knife that is easily twice it’s price. The slightly larger than the scales stainless liners are a really cool touch that you have to see in person to really appreciate it. They have a really cool beveled design that really adds a neat touch. Some people have expressed dislike for the titanium nitride coating on the blade but I personally like it because it gives you a shield of protection from rust. I work weekends as a server & bartender and have often used my pocket knives to put lemons and limes in the past, and have had rust stains appear on laminated VG-10 blades of Spydercos before. This shouldn’t be a problem with the Ti coating. The drop point blade is perfectly centered and the grind is excellent. Opening is smooth and easy, and the frame lock works great. I could not be happier or more impressed with this knife. This knife is a great bang for the buck option and I feel it’s going to be a great long term edc knife.

Replacement for Spyderco
After losing my Spyderco Delica (EDC) I needed a new knife. I needed rust resistance, descent lasting edge and price under $100, as I average 1 lost EDC per year. Obviously, the less expensive the better for the purpose of replacement. After nearly a week of reading and refreshing my knowledge of blade materials, weight and price. I ultimately ended with this one. The blade material for price seemed to be a good value, 5 stars. Blade open and lock action was also good, 4 stars, as it's not as quick as my Delica or Rat 1. Edge out of the box was shaving sharp, 5 stars. The knife is noticeably lighter than the Delica (delica had custom scales, which increased weight). The finish on every aspect of the knife is flawless! Nearly 1/2 the weight of the Delica, nicer blade finish, better, cleaner clip. Overall a classier knife. Kizer will be my go to brand from now on and have spread the word to every knife collectors and tradesman in my circle.

Top EDC knife I've ever owned, so far
Update 1/11/21: This knife is still going strong. It is my EDC. I typically use it for simple cutting tasks, but have stripped wires, leveraged out clips, carved plastic and wood, cut cordage, and all sorts of stuff. I hone it about once a month and it keeps on going. Haven't had to put a new edge on it after moderate use. I've included pics with this update to show how it fits in my hand, which is a 4.25" palm length. The notebook is 9" on the diagonal.Overall, still worthy of 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍Original review:Very rigid for the sleek design and slim profile. Incredible construction of the scales and smooth action of the opener. They even put a dimple on the blade slide contact point to indicate near open by tactile feel.I've cut plastic ties, boxes, some tree limbs, and bags with it so far. Doesn't bother me during pocket carry. Dropped it a dozen times (closed) and hasn't shown any damage.Honed the blade twice and it takes an edge very easily. Feels nice on the block. The metal composition is great for this. One, minor, minuscule thing: I was messing around tapping a glass Ball jar and the tip became slightly marred (like a ball point pen tip). No matter, though. Honed it back to shape. No worries. The relatively softer composite is just fine for all I'll use it for.

Decent EDC Knife
The knife itself was smaller than I expected. My biggest gripe with this knife is one I should have noted before ordering - the clip is on the wrong end. Well, some people prefer the grip on the end opposite from the hinge, but I like to be able to flip the knife open using the same grip I used to remove it from my pocket. With this one, you have to flip the knife over in your hand and THEN flip it open. It's a small thing overall, but a big thing to me.The G10 handles are grippy, and they feel great in your hand. The knife is also lightweight, and the blade treatment looks awesome. The knife wasn't as sharp as I expected out of the box, but it's pretty easy to sharpen yourself and it does get razor sharp.Overall, this is a great EDC knife. It looks great, and it hides in your pocket pretty well. Personally, I prefer a bit more hefty/thick knife for my EDC, and I wish I could mount the clip on the other end.

Great knife, a must buy for EDC
Received the A2 with Green G10 handle. Lightweight and easy to use, but still very sturdy due to the stainless steel liner embedded in the handles. The knife opens smoothly with the ambidextrous thumbstud. The liner lock engages at the edge of the blade tang, giving plenty of room for future wear and tear. Locking strength is solid, passed whack against the left hand.Coating on the knife was even, but all logos and labels are easily read and clear. The COO sticker is easily taken off if needed.Edge is ground evenly on both sides, utilitarian edge. Had an afternoon taking down cardboard boxes which it did with ease. Given it is VG10, was able to restore some edge with a quick swipe on a DMT stone, still very usable after working on cardboard that would wear down any edge.Clip is easy and ride high enough that the knife does not jump out at people.Like the collar around the pivot, adds a little extra color to the earth tone of the knife (OD Green handle/Black blade).Definitely a knife well suited for EDC and any tasks requires a solid knife to pierce or cut. Good materials and great work.Kizer V4458A2 Begleiter Folding Knife,Green G10 Handles
