It's great. Lasts longer than the negative comments say though. Let me explain.
I was reading the reviews before I bought this and I was a little worried. But now that I have it, I love it.I read reviews complaining that it only cleans a small area before it is out. It's not out. You fill the container with water, put the cap on and plug it in. Then wait for the light to turn green. Once you start cleaning, it will turn red. This doesn't mean it is empty. I made that mistake too. Set it back down, wait a minute, and it will turn green again. I cleaned quite a bit of my kitchen with one container full and there was still water in there when I stopped.Buy extra clothes, you are going to need it. I also used a washcloth by setting it down on the surface to clean and then using the flat spray cloth thingy piece by pressing it gently on the cloth and spraying like I would with the other cloth that comes with it. Be cautious. The steam is hot (I shouldn't have to say this but I am going to anyway) and can cause burns. It also has a straight, rigid piece that I like for corners. It's become my favorite cleaning product.I was very pleased with how easily it was cleaning things. My kitchen and bathroom look great!

The little Steamer that Could and Would do the Job!
Cannot say enough good things about this steamer. It cleans the woodwork, it cleans the shower, it cleans the grout in the bathroom, it cleans the walls, it cleans the dog pans - you name it. Anywhere there is tough ground-in dirt, it will clean it up and make it sparkling clean. And it cleans everything so easily - you don't have to scrub and scrub. We were going to replace the tile in the bathroom since we could not get the grout clean, no matter what product we used and no matter how much we scrubbed and it was driving us nuts. This little device just saved us so much money because now we can see the original color of the grout and it looks so good. And, how do the dogs get their food pan so dirty? They get their food caked on it and it is a disgusting job getting that off. What an easy and fast fix it is now to clean those pans. Sure you have to fill it fairly often, but I think that is a great safety issue. You don't want to be carrying around a huge and heavy container of super hot steam. When filled, it is very portable and not heavy at all.

Such a disappointment
I was so excited to get my steam cleaner and clean my house from top to bottom. I unpacked it, read the instructions (not too much help) and began to clean. Thank goodness I had watched some youtube videos on how to actually use the attachments. I started with some of the grease that I had not been able to get off my convection/microwave oven. It got a little bit off, but even with the brush and going over it several times,I wasn't able to do much. The brushes did start to melt after about 15 minutes of use. Certainly the product did not melt the grease off like they show on the youtube video. The product did work well on windows and on my corian countertops, however, after about 30 minutes of use, I began to smell a funny smell and realized that the glue that was holding a piece onto the hose was melting onto the steamer tip (so I was getting glue all over my stuff). After a bit, the the piece came away from the hose and I could not longer hold it because it was too hot. I called customer service and after waiting for quite a long time for a rep and then being transferred to corporate Dirt Devil, I did find someone who told me to send the whole unit back. The are paying for the postage and sending some extra pads. Right now I am waiting for a mailing label and hope to have a new unit by sometime next week. I haven't really used the unit in the bathroom. I am hoping that it will work well on my shower and bath areas. This product is new to dirt devil so you cannot order extra attachments or pads right now. I could not even find the product at their website. You will need extra pads. The one included won't last long. Even though they are washable, the pads need to be changed to do different jobs. I hope to update this review when I receive the new unit.

I don't hate it, I just don't like it.
Good product but it has some faults.Pros- Many attachments makes this a versatile tool. Small and lightweight is easy to use anywhere. Inexpensive making up for its faults. Easy to use.Cons - Small tank needs frequent refills depending on the task. I bought this to clean grout in my kitchen and steam furniture and such. The brass tank on the inside is pressurized (duh) and the opening on the top is very small which results in a couple things. Every time you need to refill, you have to unplug the unit (no ON/Off switch!), wait for it to cool (about a minute), release any remaining pressure, open the top, grab the funnel and measuring cup to refill, then close it up and plug it in again and wait another 30 seconds or so to bring up the temp and pressure. I think this is too long a process.I ended up giving up on the grout cleaning because of this. The "grout brush" also doesn't last even a whole session of cleaning. I suppose that is to be expected with plastic bristles. I was able to find replacement brushes for roughly $2/per online.I will end up keeping this even with its faults. It wasn't expensive and it works fine for many smaller tasks.
