Husqvarna 532149723 Muffler

Great muffler. Fits my 2002 Craftsman law tractor (tractor model: 917.271860, LT1000, Intek, twin cylinder, engine series 407777). Great, inexpensive fix to a 23 year old tractor! Runs much quieter now! Thank you. (When trying to find the part number some sites gave me the incorrect muffler part number. The Sears website gave me the correct one.)

New muffler fit like original equipment. Lawn tractor runs much more quiet after install. Holes in bracket are not tapped so correct tap must be used for your application. Overall an easy job. Took about 20 minutes including tapping of holes. Also seems well made.

Perfect fit for Briggs and Stratton V-Twin on my Husqvarna YTH23V48. The exhaust pipes didn't need replacing, and they slipped right into this unit without any need for adjustment. Simply remove the hood (after disconnecting the headlamp wire connector), two screws to remove the protective muffler shield, two screws to remove the muffler... pulls right off the exhaust pipes, then reverse the steps. Takes little time and effort. Highly recommend this product.

Fit my 20 year plus craftsman mower with part number 149723 with no mods needed . To make my job easier I pre-tapped the 5/16" -18 Holes even though the old bolts are self tapping . Sometimes self tapping bolts will break if you let them tap the hole so thats why I pre-tap . Mpartsman sold a muffler that looks and feels OEM 11/29/24 . Wish more people would say who really sold OEM parts . I hate buying knock off for OEM and the picture in ad should show how to tell real OEM products by marking . Cheap aftermarket will rust out too quick but an upgraded true stainless steel would be great . Buy once cray once .

Muffler installs quickly and makes a great improvement in the noise level. It seems to be heavier construction than the original muffler. All mounting holes aligned perfectly. Compared to the dealer, this is far cheaper and just as well constructed or even better construction.

Identical to oem muffler that rusted out. Husqvarna YTH24V42LS. 45 min job. Hood off, bumper bolts (4) loosened (not removed) to remove skid plate (2 screws) and exhaust pipe cover plate that also fastens muffler to frame. New muffler screw holes need to be tapped; I just drove the original screws into to holes the cut threads. Only tricky part was remembering to tip the muffler back a bit during the final positioning to clear the front bracket. If the screw holes don’t line up the muffler needs to be tipped back and then in. At least that was my experience. Quieter now. Good price.

Muffler is fine but I paid 104.20 in July and see it now listed for 70.99 ! Feeling ripped off.
