It powers on, stays on for no more than minute even if I start a recording, then powers off. I have tried it in both wifi mode and standalone mode, after charging for many hours, with nothing to show for it.Unfortunately I only did a brief test when I received it, then left it sitting on a shelf before trying to use it in earnest, and by that time it was too late to return it.

My UNIKAMI Mini Camera is great! It was easy to setup and we placed it in the kitchen to catch any entry activity and mind our dogs. It worked well both daytime and nighttime. It readily sensed activity and even caught a mouse running on the kitchen counter. It was simple to set up, works well in sensing activity, and has terrific night vision.UNIKAMI Mini Camera Is fantastic value for the spend. I would highly recommend and plan to equip other rooms.

Bad directions to set up. Once u figure out the WiFi, it does act as a camera. That’s about it. IR lights won’t turn on, and have to reattach to WiFi every time u want to see video from it.

I bought one of these to see if it would work well as an action cam, stuck to an r/c airplane. I like the size and weight but the color's not great, video quality is so-so. But most importantly, the instructions are very minimal and the recommended app won't run on my iPhone with iOS 16+. So that limits it a lot. I can't figure out how to change the time and date it puts in the video, much less how to get it to not put one there at all. Bummer, because this would be about the perfect size and weight to put on my little E-Flite UMX sub-250 gram planes for on-board video.With the omnipresent timestamp and infrared low-light capabilities contrasting with the very action-cam-y waterproof case, it seems to be a little camera with an identity crisis. Is it a security camera? A GoPro wannabe?The magnet on the back is nice. I finally found a use for it today, sticking it on the black painted steel railing outside my apartment's front door to keep on eye on things in the breezeway, as lately I've had deliveries stolen. It works well enough for that, blending into the railing such that it's almost invisible, magnetically holding in place, virtually invisible with some black masking tape over the LEDs. Even glancing at it, I barely see it and probably wouldn't notice it if not expecting it to be there. Of course, if the thief returns and does spot it, they'll soon have a nifty if conflicted security camera of mine as well. But now I know what a couple of my more elusive suspects, er, neighbors look like, along with a random Amazon delivery dude.If you can "size up" to 1.5 inches cubed from this one's 1 inch, and 56ish grams to this one's 20-something, and $110 to this one's $38, the Runcam 5 adds electronic image stabilization, 4K video, accurate colors and an app that works. But no security camera or infrared see-in-the-dark features. I use that and the more aerodynamic Runcam 2 4K on my larger r/c planes. The videos really pop!

These cameras suck!!! I purchased two and they both do not work or even turn on! Do not buy!!!

The media could not be loaded. This camera is really amazing and almost perfect for many applications. This small ice-cube sized camera is like an early goPro in the tiny form factor. Two buttons control this camera and its features which include wifi, video with audio, photos and can be housed in a sealed waterproof housing on an adjustable mount. Comes with a charging cord, magnetic mount and some instructions. (Small type).First off, the manual is written by someone whom English is not their native language. It is readable but you have to think about it. Operational description is terse at best. There is a lot of room for improvement in documentation (should be done online with video too)So far, my experienced is mixed. It basically does what is advertised, just most things could be improved. For me the big deal was wifi and I wanted to see how far it went outside. max range was about 20 feet and video got jumpy from 12'+ but it works well. I saw a review where some got more distance but as I got more than 12' away it was noticeable lag, and it would drop the connection past 24'. But for close in control works well. Higher bandwidth would be nice too.This unit does not have motion control as far as I know. Previous models had it I was told and on the advertising on amazon page it says "motion detection" but when you get the actual product there is no mention of it on the box or manual. It is missed. Maybe the next model. It would be a nice thing to have as remote cameras on battery could be told to turn on and record when motion is detected. Making it much more useful device in numerous applications.The underwater housing is great as is the magnetic mount, these work well and are very useful. The user manual is a tiny folder affair that has tiny print, some of the English is awkward in places but it can be figured out, I think.The form factor (about the size of an apple cube charger) is pretty feature packed, but I still want better/more. For the price of this camera, it is an impressive value as is, and I can see users owning several for all kinds of applications, security being a big one.The app is Chinese made. I have not had to give it my info, but it wants to have access to your photos so there could be a security hole there, but it seems legit. It has basic functionality and I think more functionalities could be done to the app to control the features more easily. Perhaps in an update? I have a feeling the motion detection is possible just missing some software.I was wondering how it was possible to update the firmware. No mention of that.This camera as will meet the needs of many. It’s great to see Wi-Fi in a tiny camera just wish it worked a little smoother and further.I plan to put this camera in a bird house and record hatching of bluebirds in the spring. When I get that video, I will post it here.I recommend this camera; it has many unique uses for many applications. Improvements can be made but it’s pretty cool as it is.UPDATE: I have been using it more now and have some further thoughts.First to make this really useful you really need a good size micro sd card to store your video onboard. Transferring pics on its wifi is very slow and video is not practical. So, the biggest micro sd it will accept is 128 GB, I put one in and experimented with the different modes.Comments:The picture quality is well… ok but nothing great. Colors wash out depending on light. It is clear but it is very light sensitive also the focal length is fixed so there are limits to close up. Fast movement is a little blurry. It records sound but its weak.The night vision works, and I think this has great applications, but I have not used it a lot.I am nitpicking as the amount of tech in this 1” cube is mindboggling. “1080p", wifi, micro-sd, audio. Video. Night vision etc. At this price point it is great. It does it all, but it could be done better. I am excited to see the next versions.

If I had the option to review this for five stars based on the action camera alone, I would give it five stars. But for some reason this listing claims that it has motion detection, do not be fooled I own several of these cameras and they do not have motion detection. They are however a very capable small GoPro style camera. The picture quality is very crisp and well worth it for the price. It’s convenient and a must have in my camera collection.
