the little varmints dig in my pots to bury peanuts. unless they get a fistful of cayenne - which I sprinkle liberally around the plant every few waterings. Presto - no digging.

I have a small flock of 10 Turkeys. Last week one of the 15 week old males came down with suspected Blackhead disease. This kills Turkeys especially babies under 16 weeks quickly.. We moved "little red" to confinement and added cayenne to his feed. To ensure the health of my flock I also added cayenne to the chicken, duck, & turkey feed. I used 1 5 lb container to 75 lbs of food. Today i can gladly say Little Red is doing well and ready to rejoin the flock once I get a bit of extra weight on him. For good measure we will continue cayenne in our feed through every fall.

The pepper is suitable for its intended purpose. But you cannot compare it to other 5lb containers because it is not 5lbs, it is 74 ounces. Whether this description was for another product remains to be seen, but you cannot expect to get 5lbs of pepper when there is only 74 ounces of pepper in the container. Buyer beware!

I never tasted it. I bought this large supply of Cayenne pepper to spread around my yard to get rid of Armadillos. So far it is working.

I got some up North to try to see if it would keep insects and snakes away like it says on the internet, so I got a small bottle at the store and I put it out and the next day no bug, fleas or snakes. So I got a larger bottle you just sprinkle it around your home, driveway, garage, and they will not cross it because of the smell and the hot spice will burn the snake. An I will be getting more after I put it down this time.

It was part of a gag gift to my brother-in-law who is trying to get rid of armadillos in his yard!

This is better than much of the cayenne pepper I've had experience with, my only complaint is that it's easy to accidentally dump too much into dishes using the sprinkling side, but that could be easily mitigated by moving it to a container more designed for sprinkling it rather than leaving it in the bulk bottle. Definitely would recommend
