It performs well and is darling. The images are just sticker sheet pressed on but it looks fine for my needs. I am very happy with it! I know I would pay bundles of money for an exquisite one but I'm content that I didn't have to to get something adorable!Update: I returned for an exchange but then return that one too. It randomly. like every day or night or so continues to run the gears after the bird goes back in at the o'clock hour. the only way to stop it is to take two of the three batteries out and put them back in. shouldn't have to do that, of course. I means taking it off the wall and putting it back up. Sorry it did not work out in the long run.

Beautiful, nice clock, very close to an original

This has happened almost every time that the bird comes outAlso, its "supposed" to be light sensitive, it is NOT. I dropped the stars from a 3 to a 1. Its cute but that's all. I would not gift this to anyone. Definitely NOT worth the money. I bought the 3 year warranty as well, haven't received it.Very cute but absolutely not worth the $45. Its not solid wood, its just covered with a decorative sticker on the front. I may return it for something solid. This is really only worth about $12-$15, IF that.

The fact that every hour is the same standard set of bird chirps with no difference between 1pm or 12am might disappoint some. But I find it pleasant enough to keep. The exterior of the clock is attractive enough as well so I kept it. But for those looking for an actual KuKu clock? They will probably be unhappy with the display this one offers.

Made a fun addition to the clock collection

My granddaughters father collects cuckoo clocks and she is obsessed with them, so I thought it would be fun to give her one of her very own. Naturally I didn’t want to invest a ton of money into it since she is so young, and the quality of this clock is definitely in line with what I paid - great for a kid, but I wouldn’t recommend for an adult as it’s definitely not superb quality. About the only thing that I was disappointed in was the sound it makes when the door opens for the bird to come out - there’s a scraping loud noise that’s a little scary sounding (to a child). Once she got used to it she’s fine though, and lives watching the bird pop out.

This was a gift for my 5 year old granddaughter who interestingly wanted this gift for Christmas. It was delivered quick, was well packaged and it works really well. It's fragile, so its best to hang it high in a room to avoid children trying to make the bird come out and start to "cuckoo". Its well designed and very nice looking for the price, where other clocks run into the 100$ plus range.One thing, is that it utilizes Roman Numerals on the clock face and if you are trying to teach your kids to tell time, its not very conducive for doing that. In spite of this, its a beautiful little clock, which does what it promises and hopefully the only thing to ever do with it is change the two different batteries which make it operate!

My clock has the cutest little bird that coo coos on the hour and is silent at night. Beautiful cottage .Well worth the money!
